Kenneth Keen of the Army War College Foundation Board of Trustees. Tom served our Vice Chairman of the Board Foundation for 10 years, over eight of those as Chairman, and the growth Mr. Frank C. Sullivan under his leadership has been extraordinary. We took two opportunities to Trustees farewell him and Lin , one in Carlisle on September 6th and the other on LTG (Ret) Richard F. Timmons (President Emeritus) September 28th at the First Division Museum at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, MG (Ret) William F. Burns (President Emeritus) Illinois. A special thank you to GEN (Ret) Gordon R. Sullivan, RES Mrs. Charlotte H. Watts (Trustee Emerita) Dr. Elihu Rose (Trustee Emeritus) ’78, COL (Ret) Paul Herbert, RES ’95, and our own Vice Chair, Frank Sullivan, for leading Mr. Russell T. Bundy (Foundation Advisor) farewell activities on behalf of the Board, College leadership, and the thousands of graduates, Mr. Thomas F. Packett II Finco, NSS ’10. Hal served on our Mr. Richard A. Pattarozzi Mr. Christopher Pohanka Development Committee and Susan on our LTG (Ret) Roger C. Schultz Nominating Committee. Collins I’d like to tell you a bit about my own background that led me to serve on the Foundation Director for Development Board. I am a 1998 graduate of USAWC, 20 years ago this year, and consider it an honor Col (Ret) Harry Leach, USAF to serve as a Trustee and now Chairman of the Board. Th e Army War College provided me 'SVTSVEXI(IZIPSTQIRX3J½GIV with the opportunity to strengthen and expand personal and professional relationships while Ms. Kaitlyn Sands studying and learning at our Army’s premier strategic leadership institution. I attended the Foundation & Alumni Affairs Staff Brazilian Army Command and Staff College, was not joint qualifi ed and never served outside Michele Willard, Accountant an Army Division or Special Operations unit prior to attending the Army War College. Th e Donna Gellert, Executive Asst. impact of my USAWC experience and especially the important relationships with fellow 0MRHE'EXSR%PYQRM%JJEMVW3J½GI1EREKIV classmates, that remain today, shaped every aspect of my subsequent 15 years in the Army. Th e visit culminated in Sydney with the 40th anniversary Hello again from the War College. I hope this message fi nds you all reunion of Australian offi cers who have attended the U.S. Army War well and as enthused as I am about your Army War College and our College. Th e group meets annually and the most recent graduate has many recent events and eff orts. to tell stories of their year at the War College and the graduate from the year prior to that has to organize the event. Toward that end, we have embarked on a faculty and staff eff ort to engage across the U.S. and internationally for a few months on best practices, not just within professional military education, but across the public and private sectors, in the areas of our institutional learning outcomes and other areas where we should be paying close attention. We will share what we learn in the coming months and see where it takes us. For me personally, I am continually amazed by the level of worldwide interest and support in what we are doing and the recognition of our unique mission. We have a large number of noted institutions that want to partner with us in new eff orts or deepen existing relationships. For example, I recently had the honor of speaking at the Disruptive Technology for Defense Transformation Conference in London and Australian IF Reunion the NeuroLeadership Institute annual conference/summit in New Front Row (L-R): MG John Kem, USAWC COMDT, GEN (Ret) York.
