tel 0115 982 7500 fax 0115 982 7020 JULY 2010 LIST See inside for valid dates Dear Customer As part of our mission to provide you with the best recordings at value-for-money prices, we have reduced the price of all titles from the highly respected French label, Harmonia Mundi. In 1958 the first recordings appeared under the banner of Harmonia Mundi, a company founded by the French journalist Bernard Coutaz. Just over half a century later, his creation has developed into one of the most important independent classical labels in the world, carefully preserving the same values and virtues. Sadly, Bernard Coutaz, a recipient of Gramophone’s Special Achievement Award and a visionary leader of a company he built into an international concern, died in February of this year at the age of 87. He is succeeded as head of the company by his widow, recording producer Eva Coutaz, who has been Harmonia Mundi’s head of production since the 1970s. The catalogue contains some 1300 titles, all of which are now available from Europadisc at reduced prices for an indefinite period. You will also find the ‘HM Gold’ series in our offer - re-issues of previously full price recordings packaged in extremely elegant gilded digipaks, enhanced with newly prepared editorial material and now even better value. We have always been admirers of the recording ethos and high technical standards of the HM catalogue and hope that this price drop might encourage you to give these recordings your renewed attention. May we thank you for your continued support and look forward to being entrusted with your orders.
