This portion of the Wasson Way Corridor aims to connect the residential areas north of Ault Park and Wooster Pk. Through the implementation of Rails-to-Trails program a pedestrian-friendly environment will enrich the current ownership and synergize Page 3 Composite Overall Map Transit Oriented Development. Light rail opportunity provides for greater business opportunities and traverses a vast array of Page 4 Ault Park Trail Alignment neighborhoods. This composite map is designed to show the connections between the existing trails, future trails, and alternate trail alignments in the Fairfax and Mariemont areas. There are four pro- posed areas of intervention: (A) Armleder Park Connection, (B) Murray Trail Connection, (C) Mariemont Trail Connection and (D) Transit Hub Connection. Each area of interven- tion has 4 options for alignments with the exception of the Transit hub connection which has two. The existing trails, Armleder Park and Lunken Airport, are notated in light green. The future Little Miami Scenic Trail Connection, in dark green, connects Armleder Park to the existing Little Miami Scenic Trail on Newtown Rd. as it The future Ohio River Trail, in yellow, is in its rst phase of development with two more phases to follow. 2 3 The Ault Park Trail Alignment traverses a forty ft. drop from Wasson Way to the valley floor. Opportunites/Constraints: The trail itself is about 1.100 ft. long and ties into the existing trail, Valley Trail. There are 1.) Opportunities/Constraints: 1.)The connection of the two Mariemont Avenues would create much more opportunity than constraints for the community. A creek crossing and road connection serve as the only constraint in this alignment.
2.) Creating an entirely new pathway on the south side of the Transit Hub creates more constraint than opportunity. Private property acquisition and the proximity to active rail-lines are the constraints in this alignment.
