Opening in the Lawrence F. O’Brien Gallery on March 30, the exhibition “School House to White House: The Education of the Presidents” portrayed the early education of American Presidents as boys struggling with their studies, teenagers trying to fit in, and young men deciding on a career. From Herbert Hoover through George W. Bush, with records drawn from the National Archives Presidential Libraries, the exhibition showcased their report cards, letters, photos, and memorabilia to demonstrate the variety of educational and extra-curricular experiences that trained and influenced our nation’s future leaders.
