Croatia Quest to the Throne CROATIA QUEST TO THE THRONE - ITINERARY - DAY 1 - Wed 15 May, Split (Meereen) Arrive at Split Airport, Croatia. Upon arrival, we will be met by your tour guide and be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore this ancient city on your own. Overnight stay: Split Dinner is included DAY 2 – Thu 16 May, Split, Kaštela, Sibenik (Braavos), Krka National Park After breakfast drive to Kaštela. This part of the Dalmatian coast is rife with ancient Croatian castles and serves perfectly as a set for the mystery region of Doreen the mighty. After Kaštela we welcome you to the New Throne, known as the City of Šibenik, whose fortified walls and ancient architecture were seen in the fifth season of the Game of Thrones and represented Braavos, the greatest and most powerful of the Free Cities. Enjoy a guided tour through Sibeniks and uncover Game of Thrones secrets. We will then move away from the city and return to nature, the setting of numerous nature scenes in the show’s fourth season, Krka National Park. It is a breathtaking place, with its waterfalls cascading over 17 natural barriers. Enjoy ample time here for exploring, swimming in the clear river waters, taking photographs or relaxing in the shade of the old lime trees. We’ll finish the day with a dinner in a beautiful, picturesque Agritourism farm where you’ll enjoy a delicious homemade meal. Overnight stay: Split Breakfast and dinner are included DAY 3 – Fri 17 May, Split to Hvar After breakfast you will be transferred to the ferry for your five islands tour! We will enjoy a day of sightseeing including Blue Cave, Green Cave, Stiniva Cove, Pakleni Islands and Hvar Town! Visit one of the most magical places in the Mediterranean, the Blue Cave on the tiny island of Biševo. Tickets included. Then enjoy some free time in Komiza on the charismatic and beautiful island of Vis. There will some time for swimming at stunning Stiniva Bay. The last stop for the day is the island of natural beauty, Hvar, the sunniest place on Earth. Highlights of the port town Hvar include its 13th-century walls, a hilltop fortress and a main square anchored by the Renaissance-era Hvar Cathedral. Enjoy free time for lunch and sightseeing. On our way to Dubrovnik we will stop at the Great Wall of Croatia – Ston Wall. Not only famous for its great walls (second largest in the world) but it is also used as part of Kings Landing. It is also very well known for the oysters farmed at Ston Bay which we will definitely try out! Just before we reach Dubrovnik we will have a dinner at Bogo restaurant located on Ombla river. Overnight stay: Dubrovnik Breakfast and dinner are included DAY 5 – Sun 19 May, Excursion to Dubrovnik (Kings Landing) We will spend a full day touring Dubrovnik including old city, Lokrum Island, Arboretum and we will travel by coach back to Split. Drive to Dubrovnik Old Town and take a small boat to Lokrum island to see all major sights where Game of Thrones took place. Enter the city of the Iron Throne, visit the streets where the Targaryens, Starks and Lannisters used to walk. Climb the fortresses and walls that where attacked by the Baratheons, take a walk on the shores of the Blackwater bay and experience the life in the capital of the seven kingdoms. After visiting the Old Town, our tour will take you to the gardens of Kings Landing where Margarey Tyrell and Sansa Stark became friends, where Lord Baelish and Lord Varys confront their plots and where Oleanna Tyrell took a role in Games for the Throne. On this tour you will visit the Lovrijenac fortress, Dubrovnik city walls, walk the streets and parks of this ancient city where the filming of the famous HBO series Game of Thrones took place. Extend your journey through Westeros and visit beautiful Trsteno gardens with ancient plants and trees. Our experienced guide will take you on a journey through time to the ‘’War of the Five Kings’’. We will then drive back to Split for your overnight stay. Overnight stay: Split Breakfast is included DAY 6 – Mon 20 May, Split (Meereen), Diocletian basement tour, Klis Fortress, Quarry and Water Mill Enter the city of the Meereen, follow the steps of Daenerys “Stormborn” Targaryen. See Klis Fortress as it transforms into the Meereen throne, where Daenerys set the slaves free and crucified their wicked owners. See the most amazing panoramic views from the top of this remarkable Fortress. Continue to Diocletian’s Palace and walk through the streets and cellars of this ancient city where most of the filming took place. Discover the ancient basements and narrow streets, where freed slaves sought revenge upon their masters. Our experienced guide takes you beneath the city where the Unsullied Army and Queen Daenerys prepare to conquer the world.
