Index of Homoeopathic Provings. by Thomas Lindsley Bradford. orig. edition 1901, Philadelphia (reprint Jain Publ., Delhi 2000) changes, completion of abbreviatons and adaptation of names by Jörg Wichmann 2017. For the sake of completeness many notes were kept, that are not indicating a homeopathic proving, like the quotes from Hering´s Guiding Symptoms, which to a great extent include clinical material. Please keep in mind, that in Bradford´s and Allen´s days many experiences with toxins or substances were listed and reported as “provings” that we wouldn´t call so today. So not all literature that is given or quoted by them really contains full proving material, but just some kind of primary source on that remedy. The names added first line (= Name xxx) are my personal additions of the correct current name. Everything in brackets (…..) is my addition. The abbrev. “V.” is used by Bradford for “Volume”, “Vol.”. You find the books and magazines quoted by Bradford in the end of this file. Bradford´s Addenda (p.284 of the book) are already incorporated in the regular alphabet. Currently you will have to find the desired remedy by moving within this file using “Strg+F” or scrolling down the alphabet. There you will only find literature listed, but many of the originals texts are also given on our website www.provings.info . For example Allen´s Encyclopedia as well as Hughes´ Cyclopedia are available online and you will find the respective link in the Link-list of the same remedy in our database. This file is still under construction and will contain some mistakes due to the countless typos in the old original text, which we are trying to correct or comment on by and by. We appreciate any finds and hints. ____________________________________________________________________________________ A. ABIES CANADENSIS. (= Tsuga canadensis) Pinus canadensis. Hemlock spruce.
