    CHICAGO PARK DISTRICT SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT APPLICATION PERMIT APPLICATION PROCESS HIGHLIGHTS Special event permit levels, definitions, fee schedule, and additional information can be found starting on page 13. 1. Visit www.chicagoparkdistrict.com/permits-rentals. Purchase the $35.00, “2020 Permit Application Fee”. 2. The initial review process takes a minimum of 14 days. Pending permit of event is sent via email. 3. Upon receipt of pending permit, additional fees (listed on page 18) and documents are due according to the deadlines below. 4. Most events are required to obtain insurance. 5. Once all the Park District’s requirements have been fulfilled, the Chicago Park District will issue its Special Event Permit for the event via email. 6. Security deposit will be submitted for processing within 30 business days after the event.
