Foundation achieves its goals in music education by drawing public attention to the critical importance of maintaining music education as core to the curriculum. Throughout the year, the GRAMMY Foundation produces programs across the country that recognize excellence and introduce students to the multitude of career options available to them in music. We host an interactive Web site, grammyintheschools.com, which provides comprehensive information about careers in the music industry. Features include video interviews with music industry professionals; links to online resources including degree programs in music and music business fields; and specific steps to take to prepare for music careers. 3 GRAMMY® Signature Schools The GRAMMY Signature Schools program honors public high school music programs with awards and cash grants. Understanding that many schools struggle to maintain music classes, we established the Enterprise Award for programs from low income schools. GRAMMY Signature Schools string quartets were invited to perform at Borders locations in honor of Borders Member Appreciation Month.
