    EL PRINCIPIO FElMENINO DE LA REALEZA EG- :LAS DIVINAS ADORATRICES DE AM~N hf.Dra Covadonga Sevilla Cueva Umversidad Autónoma, Madrid Esta comunicación pretende presentar una visión novedosa sobre la figura de la Esposa del dios o Divina Adoratriz de Amón en un momento ciertamente complicado de la Historia de Egipto : el denominado Tercer Periodo Intermedio. Este cargo religioso evolucionará de forma constante desde el momento en que fue creado, a principios del Reino Nuevo, y Negará a su culminación en época de la dinastía XXVI o saíta. La Adoratriz y su Institución han sido estudiadas desde algunos puntos de vista: sobre todo la función sacerdotal del cargo -en el Reino Nuevo-1 y la administración de la institución a lo largo del tiempo de su existenciaz. Nosotros propondremos una nueva visión : la Esposa del dios, a partir del tercer Periodo Intermedio, se irá convirtiendo en el elemento femenino de la realeza egipcia en tanto que el faraón, es el elemento masculino de la misma. A partir de la dinastía XXI, este cargo da un giro de 180 grados pues, si bien está claro que en origen fue eminentemente sacerdotal, ahora comenzará a dotarse de contenido político, ideológico y religioso, elaborándose para ello una teología en tomo a su figura. De forma paralela, la reina de Egipto -la Gran Esposa real- quedará relegada, desde el punto de vista religioso, a actividades que tienen que ver con los cultos mamisíacos, en su calidad de madre del príncipe henxiero. También es necesario sedar que el campo de acción de la divina adoratrk, a pesar de la teórica univddad de su poder, quedará reducido a la región de Tebas.

    La gueml en Oriente Próximo y Egipto SÍMBOLOS DE GUERRA EN LA ICONOGRAFÍA DE LAS REINAS DEL REINO NUEVO Cristina Gil Paneque Universidad Autónoma de Madrid 1. INTRODUCCIÓN La guena, entendida como el permanente conflicto bélico (dentro de las fronteras de Egipto y fuera de ellas) proporcionó a la monarquía egipcia una cantera de símbolos con los que reclamar su naturaleza y su legitimidad. Esta noción de guena fue desarrollada sobre un principio inherente al pensamiento egipcio basado en el binomio "orden-desorden" en constante y necesaria oposición. En el momento de la unificación se estableció una estructura social en la que el rey se alzó con el papel de representante de la comunidad y único garante del orden establecido o maat. Así, el conflicto bélico es elevado al rango de imagen mitica de la lucha de la monarquía contra las fuerzas del caos encarnadas en la figura de los enemigos de Egipto. De esta manera, la imaginería de la guena proporcionó a la realeza masculina una iconografía básica y, sobre el modelo planteado en la temprana paleta de Nalmer, se elaboraron nuevas y bien conocidas fórmulas convencionales, reCUlTentes a lo largo de toda su historia, en las que se muestra al rey sosteniendo la maza y el khepesh, golpeando a los enemigos o bajo la fOlma de esfinge pisoteando a los prisioneros. Todo este despliegue propagandístico será incorporado a la iconografía de las reinas en un lento proceso de traducción al femenino de tales modelos. Este tipo de escenas destacan sobre el resto de su repertorio habitual en el que su protagonismo es bastante limitado.

That TT 358 was carved for Ahmose-Meryetamun is certain, whilst the suggestion that TT 320 was cut for Ahmose-Nofretari is defended. Although it is not certain for whom KV 39 may have been designed, the suggestion that it was Ahmose-Inhapi seems plausible. If only you and your champions Leave Tigray to go it alone, And give back the land stolen --------------------------------------------------------- Main Body To begin I would like to reiterate Mani (216 - 274 AD) the founder of the Manichaeism religion of the Sassanian Empire, who stated that the Aksumite Empire was one of four great kingdoms (Roman, Persian and Chinese Empires) of the ancient world stretching from 100 BC - 900 AD. To outline and state the significance of this world power, we must account for its assets and achievements. Aksum produced and exported wheat, barley, myrrh, ivory and gold which was brought by the Nile through to the district called Cyeneum (ስሜን) and then on to Askum city. These goods were subsequently distributed to the rest of the world either via five day caravan trips to Adulis or up through Meroe to Egypt according to Perplus of the Erythraean Sea. Aksum had abundant gold, silver, bronze and copper mining fields that made it possible to mint coins as superior as that of Roman and Persian mintage. That said however, Aksum fared worse compared to its contemporary empires and its past glory.

Bryan Archeologické objevy z osmdesátých a devadesátých let minulého století spolu se staršími nápisy, které byly znovu prezkoumány, napovídají, že k opetovnému sjednocení Egypta došlo až v posledním desetiletí petadvacetileté vlády Ahmose (1550-1525 pr. Kr.), prvního krále 18. dynastie. Dalo by se tedy ríci, že oficiální pocátek dynastie spadá nekam do r. 1530 pr. Kr., ovšem za Ahmosovy vlády již docela dobre fungovala. A opravdu, egyptský stát na pocátku dynastie byl svou povahou predevším pokracováním forem a tradic, které vnitrní trenice 2. prechodné doby neprerušily úplne. Vždyt Ahmosovým predchudcum ze 17. dynastie cástecne pomohla pri konsolidaci mocenské základny mezi mocnými rodinami Horního Egypta také práve silná víra v tyto tradice. Když se Ahmose a jeho následovníci pozdeji prestehovali, aby zajistili dynastickou linii svého rodu, vytvorili ci modifikovali jednotlivé aspekty královského úradu tak, že pak spolu s vnejšími tlaky ze severovýchodu a jihu hluboce ovlivnil celou zbývající 18. dynastii. Ahmose a pocátek Nové ríše Nápisy v elkabské hrobce Ahmose, syna Abanova, popisují, jak jeho jmenovec, král Ahmose, porazil Hyksósy a jak pozdeji obléhal pevnost Šaruhén v jižní Palestine, i jeho vojenská tažení do Kuše, jehož hlavním mestem byla Kerma, ležící poblíž tretího nilského kataraktu. Toto núbijské tažení dokoncil Amenhotep I. (1525-1504 pr. Kr.) a rada monumentu na ostrove Šai oslavuje vítezství obou panovníku; je možné, že všechny je nechal postavit Amenhotep I., ale skutecnost, že v této oblasti pusobil i Ahmose, není zpochybnována.

    _Egyptian Serpent Power_, by Joan Ann Lansberry (The impetus for this research began after an event belonging to the realm of Runa. After an evening studying the two volume Budge dictionary, examining the meanings of various Egyptian words, perhaps my subconscious was seeded. A ‘voice’ whispered itself into my mind’s ear, “Weret-Hekau”. Having no idea what it meant, other than that it was Egyptian, I was keen to know its meaning and looked it up. The discovery of this name as both an epithet and a snake shaped goddess in her own right inspired the following research into snake mythology. Not merely a curiosity of long bygone days, this mythology has important implications for those on an initiatory path of empowerment today.) The serpent has not fared well in Christian mythology, as I was again reminded when I viewed religious artwork at the Metropolitan museum: What caused the Christians to fear the snake so much? Why do they associate their Devil with the serpent? It was not so in pagan religions. Greeks honored the Agathodaimon as a good genie, protecting the individual. Furthermore, snake metaphor in Egyptian mythology is rich and varied, serving both the kingly and the common perspectives. Even today, the Hindus regard the inner kundalini serpent as that in us which ascends to the immortal divine. I find similar concepts in the esoteric applications of Egyptian thought. But first I will deal with the less esoteric aspects. There are four snake goddesses and one snake god. (The snake entity known as Apep is not a subject of this paper.) The snake makes its earliest appearance in depictions of the uraeus - the rearing cobra on the king's (and the queen’s) brow – no later than the reign of Den, from the first Dynasty.
