Fox Cable Networks (FCN), a unit of the Networks Group, a wholly owned division of (NYSE: NWS), includes 29 domestic programming services in which News Corporation holds interests. These networks collectively service more than 400 million homes and represent one of the media industry’s largest and most diverse groups of programming operations. FCN networks include FX, FXX, 1, , FSN and its regional sports networks; Channel; SPEED; FUEL TV; Fox College Sports; Channel; Fox Sports en Español; and Fox Movie Channel. FCN also includes Fox Sports Enterprises, which manages interests in sports franchises and leading statistical information provider STATS, LLC.

FCN’s Business & Legal Affairs Department in is looking to fill up to five (5) law clerk positions for Spring 2015, as follows:

Domestic Sports 1 Paid Position Digital 1 Paid Position /Emerging Networks & 1 Paid Position Trademark Fox Sports Music 1 Paid Position FX 1 Paid Position

Business & Legal Affairs oversees all development, production, acquisition, licensing, and general corporate matters for FCN.

Domestic Sports: Fox’s cable television regional sports networks connect fans to live and exclusive coverage of their home teams – including MLB, NBA, NHL and collegiate sports, along with regional news and national programming for Fox Sports Net and . Domestic Sports law clerks work closely with in-house counsel to produce and edit agreements for all of Fox’s regional networks, as well as the recently launched Fox Sports 1 national cable network and Fox’s suite of internet sports properties. Law clerks gain exposure to the various types of agreements used by Fox and all stages of the drafting process. Duties include drafting and revising programming agreements for Fox television series’ and events, crafting legal language for talent employment and independent contractor agreements and legal research projects pertaining to contractual issues.

Digital: The Digital group handles business and legal affairs matters for the online entities under the umbrella, including FXnetworks.com, FoxSports.com, Scout.com, BigTenNetwork.com, Fuel.TV, and SpeedTV.com. The Digital law clerk will have the opportunity to review and analyze, and draft specific provisions of, various agreements, and engage in research of the many regulatory issues, involved in the constantly evolving digital and new media landscape, including matters surrounding social media, user generated content, new technology and platforms, privacy, data security, content and software licensing and distribution, marketing and advertising, application development and hosting, and technology services

Fox Sports International / Emerging Networks &Trademark: This group oversees the business and legal affairs matters for the production, acquisition and distribution of international sports content, entertainment and lifestyle programming, and original series for several Fox Cable Networks entities, including FOX Soccer, , FUEL TV and , as well as providing support for new and/or emerging networks under the Fox umbrella, such as the recently launched MundoFOX Spanish-language broadcast network. The group also handles the international distribution of all FOX Sports Media Group content, including FOX Sports, FOX College Sports, FOX Sports Net and Speed, through the FOX International Sports Channels division. Law clerks will gain exposure to the various types of agreements used by the group, including acquisition, production, distribution, talent and marketing, and will have the opportunity to draft and revise such agreements

Fox Sports Music: The Fox Sports Music group is responsible for overseeing all music aspects related to all Fox Sports, Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2, Fox Sports Net, Speed and shows and promotions by providing creative services, business affairs, and music administration services. The Fox Sports Music law clerk will have opportunities to apply current copyright laws and industry practices while analyzing, drafting and amending various types of Music Agreements, including Synchronization and Master Recording licenses, Production Library licenses and Composer Agreements.

FX: FX is the flagship general entertainment basic cable network from the Fox Networks Group. Launched in June of 1994, FX includes a growing roster of critically acclaimed and award-winning original series; an established film library with box-office hits from 20th Century Fox and other studios; and an impressive roster of acquired hit series. Law clerks draft studio and network agreements for writers, producers, and talent; read scripts and watch upcoming episodes for copyright/trademark clearance; review existing deal memos and contracts to create and update precedent charts; conduct deal point analysis for preparation of attorney negotiations and work on litigation and other research projects.

To be eligible, prospective law clerks must have completed at least one year of law school and must be currently enrolled law students. Duties may include the review and drafting of contracts, research of relevant issues, determination of rights and obligations, and special projects.
