Mike Silvestro, CEO of Flexjet – Fractional Perspective Mike Silvestro is CEO of Directional Aviation’s private fractional aviation travel businesses, which include Flexjet and Flight Options, two of the world’s three largest fractional jet companies. He became CEO just before the financial crisis of 2008. Silvestro began his aviation career at Flight Options in 2000, where he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing from 2000 to 2005. During his tenure, he helped to build Flight Options into the industry’s second-ranked company, with more than 200 aircraft and several thousand fractional and customers. Silvestro, who holds a private pilot’s license, held a senior position with fractional provider CitationShares from 2005-08. Silvestro currently is the longest-serving CEO in the fractional jet industry.

Jens Henning, Vice President of Operations, General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) – Regulatory Perspective Jens Hennig is responsible for GAMA’s activities for safety, security and operations. He is the association’s primary staff person on Air Traffic Control modernization and issues affecting manufacturer flight operations. Jens’ engagement in policy and rulemaking committees covers a range of topics including ADS-B, air traffic management, landing and takeoff performance, and rulemaking cost analysis. He chaired FAA’s airman training and testing standards rulemaking committee which developed the new framework for pilot training in the and also managed the agency’s review of the Part 135/125 regulations. He promotes the General Aviation Joint Steering Committee as an essential body to advance GA safety based on data- driven, systematic processes, and serves as its Safety Analysis Team’s Co-chair. Jens also chairs the U.S. Transportation Security Administration’s Aviation Security Advisory Committee (ASAC) general aviation subcommittee and served as co-chair of FAA’s Aircraft System Information Security / Protection working group on cybersecurity. On the legislative front, Hennig provides technical analysis about security, funding, and ATC modernization to GAMA’s government affairs team. Having joined GAMA in 2003 as Manager of Operations after a stint as manager of flight operations for contract training at Embry Riddle, Jens has advanced to Vice President, Operations. Originally from Örnsköldsvik, Sweden, he holds a Bachelor of Science with honors in Aerospace Engineering from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and Master of Business Administration in Aviation.

Jay Mesinger, CEO & President of Mesinger Jet Sales – Used Jet Perspective Jay Mesinger is the CEO and Founder of Mesinger Jet Sales, an international aircraft brokerage firm, with 46 years of experience in the aviation industry. Mesinger Jet Sales has modernized the formula for buying and selling aircraft and provides their clients with the best market intelligence for aircraft sales pricing and correct acquisition expectations. Additionally, Jay was a Member of the Board of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), and the Chairman of the Associate Member Advisory Council (AMAC). He is the first aircraft broker to serve on the NBAA board. His 10-year term was over October 2013. Jay is on the Customer Advisory Board of Jet Aviation and also served on the Customer Advisory Board of Airbus North America. Jay is also a member of Gulfstream’s “Key Player” team. Jay served on the Duncan Aviation Customer Advisory Board for 2 terms, and is a member of the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA). He is also a member of the Colorado Aviation Business Association (CABA). Jay is also on the Board of Directors of The Morris Animal Foundation.

Robert Molsbergen, President of ExcelAire – Charter Perspective Robert Molsbergen is currently the President of ExcelAire, one of the nation's leading private jet charter firms that specializes in worldwide jet charters, aircraft management, maintenance and sales (06/2016-Present). Prior to this he served as Chief Operating Officer of NetJets a worldwide leader in private aviation that provides services for individuals and businesses across various destinations worldwide and offers private aircraft management, flight operations, on-demand , charter aircraft management, and turnkey aircraft management services (01/2013-05/2016. Preceding this he was the President of MD Helicopters, a leading manufacturer of commercial and military helicopters (01/2009-01/2011).

Marc Drobny, President Business Aviation of StandardAero – Aftermarket Perspective Marc Drobny serves as President, Business Aviation. He joined StandardAero in March 2018 and is responsible for leading the achievement of performance objectives, customer satisfaction and business development activities of the Business Aviation Sector, which is dedicated to the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of non-commercial, business aviation aircraft. Drobny reports directly to the CEO of StandardAero and is a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team.

Prior to StandardAero, Drobny served as President of Executive Jet Management, the aircraft management and charter division of the Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary NetJets Inc, and one of the largest business jet operators in the world with over 200 aircraft and more than 50 different aircraft types under management. During his nearly 13 years at Executive Jet Management, Drobny served in a variety of strategic, operational, sales, marketing, customer service and executive roles, capping off his career there as President of a +$400M business.

Kirsten Bartok, Managing Partner of AirFinance – Financing Perspective Speaker Bio: Kirsten Bartok is AirFinance’s founder and managing partner, which specializes structured finance, leasing and the financing of aircraft, with emphasis on emerging markets. AirFinance’s core business is as an originator and servicer of aviation loans, and its fleet of financed aircraft ranges from Cessna Caravans to Gulfstream G650s. Prior to AirFinance, was Vice President, Strategy, Structured Finance & Corporate Development at Hawker Beechcraft Corporation. There she helped lead the company’s expansion into Asia, specifically China, as well as JV, strategic sourcing relationships, mergers and acquisitions. Before AirFinance, Bartok was a co-founder, board member and CFO of the fleet operator XOJET. Bartok was part of the original core executive team that built XOJET and as CFO, she oversaw financial and strategic initiatives including aircraft purchasing and financing for XOJET’s rapidly growing fleet. Previously, Bartok was a partner at the middle market private equity firm, Alpine Investors. Before Alpine, Bartok was with JPMorgan Partners, the investment arm of JPMorgan Chase which acquired Hambrecht & Quist’s technology venture fund. Bartok began her career at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where she was in the corporate finance group in Goldman’s investment banking division and also in fixed income capital markets.
