Mike McGee doubled and scored on a double into the right-field corner by Rivers in the third inning, chasing Long Winning Streak: 3 Games (4x) Lasker (L, 1-4) after just 3.0 innings. Left-hander Nate Reed (W, 3-3) limited the Rattlers to a run on Long Losing Streak: 8 Games (5/7-5/14) All-Time Record: 4178-4394 four hits over 5.0 innings, that run coming as Joey Paciorek doubled and scored on an infield single by Nick Shaw in the fifth. Hicks, a day removed from his career-best 3-for-4, two-double (first two extra-base hits of his career), RBI game on Sunday at West Michigan, went 1-for-3 with his first career two-RBI game including his first career game-winning RBI . The former Cavaliers teammate of fellow Seattle draftees LHP Danny Hultzen (1 st round, 2 nd overall) and 3B Steve Proscia (7 th round), Hicks is hitting .275 with two doubles and five RBI in 11 games with Clinton. McGee, 1-for-4 with a double last night, has a hit in 19 of 25 games since joining Clinton …he is hitting .295 with seven doubles, a triple, HR, 19 runs scored and 12 RBI in 25 games. Bullpen Briefs: RHP Jonathan Arias worked around two walks and struck out two to earn his fourth win on Monday at West Michigan…he is now 4-0 with three saves and a 1.75 ERA (5 ER in 25.2 IP) since the end of May…the former catcher has fanned 63 batters over 39.2 IP, good for 14.29 K/9.0 IP. RHP Tyler Burgoon pitched 2.0 scoreless innings to lock down his team-leading 11 th save in 16 tries on Monday…he’s 1-1 with three saves and a 3.00 ERA in July after starting the year 4-3 with eight saves and a 1.85 ERA in his first three months.
