V této práci bylo hodnoceno 9 lokalit na třech tocích v povodí Rožnovské Bečvy, na 3 úsecích se sledovaný druh nevyskytuje. Nepřítomnost byla potvrzena elektro odlovem. V roce 2010 a 2011 bylo hodnoceno 18 vybraných faktorů – fyzikálně- chemické vlastnosti vody, množství makrozoobentosu a preferované potravy, granulometrie a hydroekologický monitoring toků. Na lokalitách bez přítomnosti vranky byly prokazatelně vyšší teploty, konduktivita, pH naopak nižší množství kyslíku, redox-potenciál a potravně preferované čeledi makrozoobentosu. Výsledky lépe objasňují biologické a ekologické nároky vranky. Klíčová slova Dolnopasecký potok, Starozuberský potok, Zákopecký potok, fyzikálně-chemické vlastnosti, makrozoobentos, granulometrie, hydroekologický monitoring Abstrakt The life demands sculpin (Cottus poecilopus) have relatively little information. In this study evaluated 9 localities on three streams in the watershed Roznovska Bečva, into 3 sections of the monitored species is absent. Absence was confirmed by electro fishing. In 2010 and 2011 were evaluated 18 selected factors - physical-chemical properties of water, number of macroinvertebrate and preferred food, granulometry and hydroecological monitoring flows. At locations without the presence of sculpin were significantly higher temperature, conductivity, pH, but lower amounts of oxygen, redox potential and preferred food macroinvertebrate families. The results explain of better biological and ecological requirements of sculpin. In this region, Paleolithic finds are rare and fish bones fair- ly unique. Analysis of Paleolithic fish bones outside of the LGM range was carried out with the intention of reconstructing the paleozoogeographical distribution of this animal group before the retreat of the ice cap from the Baltic Basin. This research focuses on an archaeological fish bone assemblage from Obłazowa Cave, southern Poland. Other samples examined are from Krucza Skała Rock Shelter (Kroczyckie Rocks), Biśnik Cave (Wodąca Valley), Borsuka Cave (Szklarka Valley), and Nad Tunelem Cave (Prądnik Valley). The latter sites are considered natu- rally accumulated deposits, but, at Obłazowa and Krucza Skała, anthropogenic factors also played an important role. The fish bones from the Paleolithic cave deposits of Obłazowa inclu- ded at least six fish genera: Thymallus, Coregonus, Salmo, Salvelinus, Esox, and Cottus.

Two fish sampling campaigns (summer and autumn) were performed in 2017 to explore the possible causes of this phenomenon. In addition, to investigate the typical liver features of C. gobio, control specimens were captured from Degano Creek in the same seasons. Total length, weight, and liver weight were recorded in fish from both sampling sites. In addition, Fulton’s condition factor (K) and hepatosomatic index (HSI) were calculated. Stomach contents were also analyzed.

Circular No. 65 9^ RUSSIAN-ENGLISH GLOSSARY OF NAMES OF AQUATIC ORGANISMS AND OTHER BIOLOGICAL AND RELATED TERMS ^5, Compiled by W. E. Ricker Fisheries Research Board of Canada Nanaimo, B.C. August, 1962 FOREWORD This short Russian-English glossary is meant to be of assistance in translating scientific articles in the fields of aquatic biology and the study of fishes and fisheries. j^ Definitions have been obtained from a variety of sources. For the names of fishes, the text volume of "Commercial Fishes of the USSR" provided English equivalents of many Russian names. Others were found in Berg's "Freshwater Fishes", and in works by Nikolsky (1954), Galkin (1958), Borisov and Ovsiannikov (1958), Martinsen (1959), and others. The kinds of fishes most emphasized are the larger species, especially those which are of importance as food fishes in the USSR, hence likely to be encountered in routine translating. However, names of a number of important commercial species in other parts of the world have been taken from Martinsen's list. For species for which no recognized English name was discovered, I have usually given either a transliteration or a translation of the Russian name; these are put in quotation marks to distinguish them from recognized English names.

  • Ontogenetic Dietary Shifts in a Predatory Freshwater Fish Species: the Brown Trout As an Example of a Dynamic Fish Species
Chapter 9 Ontogenetic Dietary Shifts in a Predatory Freshwater Fish Species: The Brown Trout as an Example of a Dynamic Fish Species Javier Sánchez-Hernández, María J. Servia, Rufino Vieira-Lanero and Fernando Cobo Additional information is available at the end of the chapter http://dx.doi.org/10.5772/54133 1. Introduction The brown trout (Salmo trutta) is a species of Eurasian origin, but at has become naturalized in many other parts of the world. It has an outstanding socio-economic importance, both in commercial and sport fisheries, and it is frequently used as tourist attraction [1,2]. The case of brown trout is a clear example of a ‘dynamic’ fish species, as its diet and feeding behaviour can vary greatly among individuals, age classes, seasons and rivers. The composition of brown trout diet is strongly influenced by environmental and biotic factors. For example, water temperature plays an important role, as it influences food intake and the activity of fishes [3], but also the emergence and activity of aquatic insects or other potential prey items. Also water flow rate can be extremely important for drifting feeders such as brown trout, as they regulate food availability. The are many abiotic factors that influence feeding behaviour, but in general, biotic factors such as the locomotor ability of fishes, accessibility, abundance and antipredator behaviour of prey are thought to be the most important factors in the determination of the diet and feeding strategies in fishes. Usually not all the available prey is consumed by the predator, a feature that allows biologists to distinguish between trophic base and trophic niche (Figure 1).

Probably, a refugium also existed in Southern Norway. Colonization from the sea also took place. The taxonomic position of some forms, such as members of the complex groups of Arctic chars and coregonids, was refined in the course of combined studies including morphological analysis and molecular markers.
