MARK’S GARDEN® DESIGNS UNIQUE FLORAL CENTERPIECES FOR THE 89TH ACADEMY AWARDS’® GOVERNORS BALL

SHERMAN OAKS, CA (February 6, 2017) – Celebrity floral designer Mark Held, of MARK’S GARDEN®, has been selected as the exclusive florist for the 2017 Governors Ball, the Academy’s official post-Oscar gala. Held and his team have created table décor featuring structured floral arrangements in deep red tones with white. Working in tandem with Academy Ball Chairman Jeffrey Kurland and Sequioa Productions’ event producer Cheryl Cecchetto, Held’s designs will complement the mid-century modern look being designed for the Ray Dolby Ballroom atop the Hollywood & Highland Center® immediately following the broadcast of the 89th Oscars®.

The ballroom foyer where guests will enjoy pre-dinner cocktails, will be dramatically draped in red fabric with red flowers with splashes of white decorating the tables. Inside the white draped Ballroom, guests will see white centerpieces with accents of red. Thousands of roses, amaryllis, carnations and orchids will be incorporated. Flowers will be flown in from South America and Holland arriving at the Mark’s Garden studio early in the week to be ready for the Sunday event.

MARK’S GARDEN® is celebrated for innovative floral designs for large scale events and weddings for clients such as actor Robbie Amell and , heiress Patty Hearst’s daughter Lydia Hearst and Chris Hardwick, the Marc Jacobs Cosmetic Launch, , American Idol series wrap party and singer Katy Perry’s Pre-Grammy Party. Held is a favorite guest on national television shows and is a popular guest speaker on the art of floral design and creative entertaining. For more information, visit www.marksgarden.com.
