Summer preparation work for Students of AQA English Literature B Please find below the list of primary and secondary reading for the AQA English Literature course at Year 12.
The primary reading needs to be pre-read before the start of the new term in September, so that rigorous critical discussions may take place in class. Students should not assume that the full text will be read in class, as time constraints make this impossible.
In addition, all students will need a file for each text they study, to store chapter notes and their own notes on critical and wider reading. I strongly recommend the purchase of the English Literature B A/AS Level for AQA Student Book, as it models the correct level of response and writing and clarifies the level of work and effort needed for A Level study.
