NOTICE OF 128TH IPWEAQ NORTH QUEENSLAND BRANCH CONFERENCE

Hosted by Cassowary Coast Regional Council, 20 June 2014

On behalf of the North Queensland Branch of the IPWEAQ, we advise that the 128th yearly conference is to be held at the Mission Beach Resort on 20 June 2014.

Conference program, registration and accommodation details are enclosed. It is suggested that you make an early commitment and book your accommodation. Delegate Registrations close on 6 June 2014.

The technical program will include a range of interesting topics and issues challenging public works engineering managers and supervisors and discuss developing and implementing cost-effective engineering solutions. The program will include an open forum facilitated by IPWEAQ's President Ged Brennan, with the aim of identifying common issues faced by Public Works Engineers in our region and Councils who are working on or have identified solutions.

The program has not been finalized and we are seeking interested parties who wish to present papers. The topic can be either technical or non-technical.

Please contact Kerry Kokani at Cassowary Coast Regional Council on (07)4043 9149 or [email protected] should you be interested in presenting a paper. We will forward full details of the technical program when available.

In closing, Cassowary Coast Regional Council wishes to extend this invitation to all persons with an interest in public works engineering and assures you that the conference will be productive, informative and enjoyable. We look forward to seeing you at Mission Beach from the 19 to 21 June 2014.
