Social Media Takeover Bellevue HS created an exceptional powerpoint for their club on intersectionality and created a social media campaign for YESC social media.

Craft Kits Bellevue did a number of home crafts this year and also planted seeds at home as a way for the club to connect while still virtual! Environmental Ethics Project The Cleveland Green Team hosted numerous guest speakers from local organizations this year to speak on a wide variety of environmental topics from nutri- ent pollution to the international wildlife trade. Carbon Footprint Project Green Team members explored a variety of different ways to calculate aspects of their total carbon foot- print, and learn how to reduce their impact. Eco-crafts Every year, the Green Team holds and eco-craft event in which team members create art out of found ob- jects like non-recyclable plastic or bottle caps. • Made so many yummy and delicious, planted- based and sustainably sourced meals including overnight oats and pumpkin seeds

• Lots of sustainable DIY projects such as home- made toothpaste and reusable T-shirt bags

• May in-person meetings! Skull identification, parking lot clean up, and more!

So many Kahoots! Lake Washington might be the Kahoot kings this year. The leadership team worked tirelessly to put together informational Kahoots that helped their club learn about the environment and have fun.

Lake Washington also had fun using carbon calculators, meeting in person, talking about plans for next year, holding successful elections and so much more. Leadership Award Lior Fisher- Outstanding Leadership Award Lincoln High School Highlights

• Watched Our Planet and discussed global responsibility for our earth

• Lots of discussions on renewable energy and algae farming

• Hosted guest speakers on sustain- able forestry, recycling, and waste

School Highlights

• Created an Earth Day Kahoot & Lesson for the school’s “Islander Hour” to spread awareness of environmental issues to the whole school.

• Started “Green Act of the Day” in May as a challenge for club members.

• Made Seed Balls to plant native grasses and flowers that pollinators need in their yards and neighborhoods. Leadership Awards

School Highlights Plants! Nathan Hale spent a lot of time planting this year. They started with microgreens and then worked their way up to bigger veggies and flowers. Education Nathan Hale used their virtual time to do lots of eco-friendly crafts and educate themselves on environmental issues happening around the state, country, and world. DIY Crafts at Home Newport did a number of virtual crafts this year. They made beeswax wraps and learned more about responsible consumerism and waste.

Seeds Newport planted a number of seeds this year. They started the year with microgreens and worked their way up to veggies and flowers. Sunflowers were a big hit.

Pine Lake Middle School Highlights Trash Video Pine Lake created a video about trash while meeting virtually! Each youth picked a different trash topic to talk about and made mini-videos, combined them into one video and played it for the whole school. Saving the Trees In person, Pine Lake realized that the trees at their school where being harmed by plastic ties which cut into the trees and caused problems. To fix this, Pine Lake cut off all the plastic ties on all the trees all over campus. Leadership Awards Izzy— Group Go-Getter Award Emma— Positive Attitude Award Rainier Beach High School Highlights
