May 15, 2020 Where the Cars Are the Stars the Most Fun You Can Have with Your Cadillac! May 15, 2020 www.lasvegasclc.com Where the Cars are the Stars The Most Fun You Can Have With Your Cadillac! President’s Message Online Car Show. Our Online car show was a huge success. By now, all the winners have their cash awards, participation certificates, and suitable for fram- ing award certificates. There was a lot of interest from all over the world (5 countries) and lots of the US. About 25% of the cars were local, so thank you for your participation. Visually, it was great fun. Watch for the article in the Self Starter and a recap in this newsletter. Board Meeting. We have just concluded our monthly Board Meeting as I write this. The central topic and theme: What can we do to keep our members engaged until we can all get together again. It is rough when you can't just sit and talk with someone you care about. Here are a couple of things we are doing as a club: • Sunshine or Birthday. Speaking of caring about, we are starting a new Sunshine section where we'll also report those that are ill or just need a little smile or a birthday wish. Just respond to the mailing on this news- letter if you know someone who needs to be added to the list. • The Cadillac Connection Newsletter / eBlast. The Board also decided that you need more ongoing Cadillac in your life. So to keep you engaged and in the touch, the plan is you will be getting a newsletter on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays (Virtual Meeting). Have a story or something to add or share, just respond to the news- letter email. • Activities: The 15th Cadillac Through The Years is being scheduled for next spring 2021 so keep that Cadillac ready to go. 4th of July Parade is still a go as of today. The Club Picnic is scheduled for Sunday September 20th. Club meetings are on hold, on a month-to- month basis—May will not be held. Stay tuned. Did you ever think you'd appreciate (like never before) the simple act of getting in your car and go somewhere fun? I'm not talking about the supermarket. Don't get me started on that process. These are challenging times, but we should all know that we can count on each other. If you need me, I'm right here. Stay safe everyone. • E-Class Hearse & Limousine
E-Class Hearse & Limousine Based on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Introducing a Design Process Without Compromise The latest 213 Series Mercedes E-Class is an evolution from the previous generation. With a consciously refined exterior design and complete overhaul of the interior, Mercedes have pushed the industry forward once again. In setting out to design the Duffy E-Class Limousine & Hearse we took a “no compromise” approach. Our aim was to push the boundaries of the funeral vehicles and exceed our customers’ expectations, all while maintaining traditional design aesthetics in keeping with a timeless and classic style. Introducing a Class Leading Engineering Process The development of the 213 Series Limousine & Hearse was the most advanced development process ever undertaken by Duffy Coachbodies. Utilising state of the art CAD & CAM systems every aspect of the manufacture process was examined from first principles. This aided the design & engineering process and yielded significant improvements both in terms of manufacturing and quality. Introducing Unrivalled Attention to Detail From the first sketch we started to imagine what the new E-Class hearse could be. We choose only the highest quality authentic materials and go to great lengths to ensure our design vision is realised in manufacture. With Finnish glass selected for its optical quality, German aluminium extrusions for their purity and Canadian deck fittings for their ornate aesthetic, these are just a few of the details which go into building a Duffy Hearse. Progressive Luxury Prepare for a Leap Forward in Design Duffy Limousines are manufactured with an undisputed “factory finish”. Our latest safety laminated glass roof stretches over the entire passenger compartment, creating an impressively spacious limousine.
