Tarrant County Archives Dominick J. Cirincione Collection Descriptive Summary Title: Dominick J. Cirincione Collection Listing: Cirincione, Dominick J. Summary: Dominick J. Cirincione (b.1940) worked most of his career at Bell Helicopter in the Hurst area prior to retiring in 2004. He notably served as an engineer for the development of the V-22 Osprey. Donor's degrees include two from Tarrant County College, and a business degree from Texas Christian University. Extent: 30.11 linear feet (45 boxes) Restrictions The collection is open for research. It is recommended that researchers contact the archives before visiting. Administrative Information A long-time contributor to the Tarrant County Archives, Dominick J. Cirincione donated the items contained in this collection over the span of two decades, 1993 to 2018. He began his donations after Dee Barker asked him for photographs of the log barn that are now in this collection. Dominick J. Provenance: Cirincione gave some items related to the Texas Old Missions and Forts Restoration Association (TOMFRA) in honor of Joanne Pratt. This collection also contains items which belonged to the donor’s sister, Francine Reese, who donated them in honor of her late husband, Tony Reese. Some items related to Bell Helicopter came from C. Scope and Contents: Personal and Professional Achievements, 1962-2017 This series contains items related to Cirincione’s career or achievements related to publications by Cirincione or photographs taken and donated to various organizations. This includes notes and proofs from the Texas Sesquicentennial Wagon Train book co-authored by Cirincione and J'Nell Pate. Miscellaneous, 1976-2017 This series contains calendars, Tea Party memorabilia, catalogs, and conferences attended by the donor on archaeology, paleontology, cartography, history, and archiving. This series also contains articles and publications Page 1 of 53 related to politics, specifically the Republican Party, the government, and the military. Specific topics include Bonnie and Clyde, the Great American Cattle Drive, and the John F. Kennedy Assassination. Aviation, 1942-2019 This series contains files mostly related to Bell Helicopter, including Rotor Breeze newsletters from 1952-2006. There is also an undated oversized photograph of the Bell Helicopter Arthur Young demo, circa 1930s, in this series. This series contains photographs, VHS and DVD media, technical manuals, photocopies of newspaper articles, ephemera, and documents related to the Bell Helicopter Training School, information on Petroleum Helicopters and Sikorsky Aircraft, and various space shuttle missions and airplane crashes. The Aviation series also contains posters, annual reports, calendars, and information related to the use of Bell's helicopters in the war in Vietnam. Entertainment, 1954-2017 This series reflects the donor’s interest in the arts, and it contains a variety of theater and sports programs and documents from museum and art exhibits in Fort Worth, around Texas, and New York City. Artifacts, 1981-2016 This series contains objects, such as small awards, playing cards, mugs, and reprints of late-nineteenth century wagon train guides. Map Society Conferences, 1996-2010 This series consists of documents, brochures, maps, and items collected by Cirincione while attending these conferences. Maps and Posters, 1981-2011 This series contains posters related to Bell Helicopter and Texas history. There are also a few items related to art exhibits and areas entertainment. Books, 1962-2017 This series contains an extensive collection of books on Bell Helicopter, planes, the John F. Kennedy assassination, Bonnie and Clyde, and Texas history. Media, 1963-2013 This series consists of VHS, cassettes, and DVDs on aviation, cowboys and the West, and General Dynamics. This series also contains various newspapers and magazines related to the John F. Kennedy assassination and Tarrant County history. September 11th Terrorist Attacks, 2001-2016 This series contains newspapers, magazines, books, and artifacts pertaining to the terrorist attacks which occurred on September 11, 2001, in New York City. Photographs, 1983-2010 This series contains photographs taken and donated to various organizations. This includes images of historic Texas architecture, including William M. Dunn log barn, Isaac Seela Cabin, and Howard Cabin, as well as the Texas Sesquicentennial Wagon Train.
