Bob McQuillen is a legend in the Monadnock region of and beyond, and is an inspiration for the thriving Contra dance and traditional community in the area. He has written over 1,500 tunes, published in fifteen tune books called "Bob's Notebooks." Each volume contains more than 100 unique tunes and a description of who he wrote the tune for. Bill Matthiesen’s Waltz books have long been one of the best resources for waltzes played at contras, English dances, and everywhere else.
