PRESS RELEASE 31ST MALAYSIA-SINGAPORE PUBLIC SERVICE GAMES The 31st Malaysia-Singapore Public Service Games will be held in Singapore from 18 to 20 January 2008. The Games allow senior civil servants from Malaysia and Singapore to get to know each other better and enhance the relationship of the Civil Services of the two countries. A delegation of 34 Malaysian senior civil servants, comprising Secretary-Generals and senior officials of the Malaysian Civil Service will be arriving on 18 January. Leading the delegation will be Tan Sri Sidek Hassan, the Chief Secretary to the Government of Malaysia. Hosting the Malaysian guests will be Mr Peter Ho, Head of Civil Service, Singapore and Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries and heads of Statutory Boards and senior officials. The key participants’ list is attached in the Annex. The programme for the Games includes a golf game, courtesy calls by the Malaysian delegation on their respective counterparts. Mr Peter Ho will also host a dinner for the Malaysian delegation. The Games, which are hosted alternately between Malaysia and Singapore, were first held in 1973 in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia hosted the last Games in 2007.
