Deadline for filing for readmission and last day for nonmatriculated, auditor, and permit students to file an application for the Fall 2013 semester. August 20 (Tues.)....................... Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. for newly admitted matriculated students. Continuing students who register during this period must pay tuition and fees (including $25 late registration fee) in full at that time. August 23–27 (Fri.–Tues.) ................................. Registration for nonmatriculants, readmits, and permit students begins at 9:30 a.m. Registration continues without late fee for newly admitted students and late registration for continuing students (those enrolled Spring 2013). Continuing students who register during this period will be assessed a $25 late registration fee. August 27 (Tues.).......................Last day to apply for a leave of absence for Fall 2013. August 28 (Wed.) ...................... First day of classes for the Fall 2013 semester. All students who register on or after August 28 must pay tuition and fees in full at that time, including $25 late registration fee. September 2 (Mon.) ..................Labor Day. The Graduate Center is closed. September 3 (Tues.) ..................Last day to register for Fall 2013. September 4–6 (Wed.–Fri.) .......No classes scheduled. September 13–14 (Fri.–Sat.) .....No classes scheduled. September 17 (Tues.) ................ Deadline for dropping classes (without the grade of “W” appearing on the student record), changes of level, or residency changes for the Fall 2013 semester. All changes that may affect student billing must be completed by this date. No petitions for changes will be accepted after this date. Last day to deposit a dissertation or thesis for a September 30, 2013, degree. October 13–14 (Sun.–Mon.) .....The Graduate Center is closed. No classes scheduled. October 15 (Tues.) .....................Classes to follow a Monday schedule. November 8 (Fri.) .......................Last day to file for unevaluated withdrawal (“W”) from courses. November 27 (Wed.) .................Classes to follow a Friday schedule. November 28–29 (Thurs.–Fri.) ..Thanksgiving recess. The Graduate Center is closed. December 5–January 6 (Thurs.–Mon.) ........................... Tentative. Registration for Spring 2014 semester for those enrolled in the Fall 2013 semester without the imposition of a $25 late registration fee. December 16 (Mon.) .................Reading Day.
