The University is at the academic and multidisciplinary forefront of the technical and the natural sciences—with new initiatives in a number of demanding engineering disciplines, including sustainable energy technology and life science. • DTU’s main campus is located north of Copenhagen near the town of Lyngby. More than 100 buildings are scattered across the 106-hectare great plain, which is divided into four quadrants – exactly like points in a coordinate system. The campus is safe and secure and a site of great natural beauty: wooded areas, squares, inner courtyards and gardens, sports fields and a central avenue are nestled in the gaps between the buildings and combine to create an aesthetically pleasing architectural statement. • DTU’s Meeting Centre consists of 20 conference rooms. The Meeting Centre in Building 101 on Lyngby Campus includes a lounge and a café area with access to the outdoor atrium. The conference rooms themselves are equipped with modern AV and IT equipment and one of rooms is set up for video conferences. It is located in northern Europe and is part of Scandinavia. Denmark consists of the Jutland peninsula, the larger islands of Zealand, Funen, and Lolland-Falster and 429 other named islands between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, 72 of which are inhabited. Copenhagen was named top city to visit in 2019 by Lonely Planet. • Though tiny in size, Denmark is big on culture, cooking and coastline. Attractions such as Tivoli, the Little Mermaid and Legoland has fascinated visitors for years. Today, Danish design, architecture and the New Nordic Cuisine put Denmark on the world map. London and Paris can be reached in less than two hours. Lyngby Station is a hub for S-trains and busses. Several buses stops on Anker Engelunds Vej (the road with DTU's main entrance). Metro & Train- M1 or M2 to Norreport station and then either train A or E to Lyngby station. From Lyngby station, you can take bus 180, 190 or 300S to Anker Engelunds Vej at DTU campus. Express busses 150S and 15E have stops on the motorway, within walking distance from DTU’s main entrance.
