Communiqué de presse Press release Confidential C ALPINE EXHIBITION AT THE INTERNATIONAL AUTOMOBILE FESTIVAL OF THE INVALIDES: BETWEEN RESTROSPECTIVE AND PROSPECTIVE In 2015 Alpine chose the International Automobile Festival (FAI) to present the Alpine Vision Gran Turismo. In January 2018 the Alpine A110 receives the award for the most beautiful car of the year 2017. In 2020, Alpine chooses the FAI for an exhibition featuring historical, present and fantasized models, whose storyline is a back and forth between two eras and the richness of Alpine’s history as an inexhaustible source of inspiration. For its 3rd participation in the International Automobile Festival of the Invalides(Paris), Alpine has imagined an exhibition of new or little-known models to the general public: the A210 prototype, the Alpine Vision Gran Turismo, the A110 1800 – 1972 Gp4 driven by François Alessandri and Jean Pierre Manzagol, the A110 SportsX, an A110 "berlinette" 1300 of 1971 and the A110S. The A210 prototype In 1966, Alpine launched a new prototype designed exclusively for competition, the A210. It was used between 1966 and 1969 for Alpine's participation in the 24h Le Mans race. It will be victorious in 1966 thanks to the Grandsire/Cella crew and in 1968 with the Andruet/Nicolas crew. The Alpine A210 presented was manufactured in 1967. It has a Renault Gordini type 58 CI engine and is equipped with a Porsche gearbox. Its top speed is 270km/h, established on the Hunaudières straight in 1969. This A210 took part in the 24h Le Mans on June 14th 1969 with the Killy/Wollek crew. -

Marrying elegance, agility and authenticity, this mid- engined two-seater coupé is in every respect a true Alpine. The Alpine Vision heralds the style and performance of the road-going sports car that will be revealed before the end of the year. Manufactured in Dieppe, France, “I chose the name Alpine for my company because the upcoming model will go on sale from 2017, initially for me, this is an adjective that epitomises the pleasure in Europe and subsequently across the rest of the world. of driving on mountain roads. Matra Djet 5S 1965
Matra Djet 5S 1965 Gallerij +32 (0)53 63 12 33 www.marreyt.com [email protected] Matra Djet 5S 1965 In the beginning of the sixties, two French-built Merk Matra competition cars were dominating the racing scene: the Alpine A110 in rally-sport and the Deutsch Bonnet / Matra Djet in road racing. Model Djet 5S Although they excelled both in their separate disciplines, for the main public they were direct competitors. The first Bonnet-only (formerly Bouwjaar 1965 Bonnet was partnered with Deutsch = DB sports cars) built sports car was the 1962 Djet, based on years of racing experience in Le Mans. Its mid-engined concept gave a road behaviour and weight distribution that were unequaled at that time. Unfortunately the Djet was so expensive to produce that Bonnet went bankrupt in 1964. The Matra (Mécanique Aviation TRAction) company was founded in 1945 with a core business in military plane manufacturing, aerospace applications and the processing of all sorts of plastics. It was in this last branch, they manufactured the glassfibre body shells for René Bonnet cars and when Bonnet went bankrupt, Matra took over the rights to build sports cars. From then on the Djet was further improved and several Djet (later renamed Jet) evolutions followed. Matra's racing experience, Formula 1-2-3 successes and their strong marketing machine made sure that Matra reached the Paris jet set: it became a must-have for the rich and the famous (Joeri Gagarin owned one). Even the French Gendarmerie owned several cars to patrol the autoroute du soleil! Needless to say, the Matra Djet is a beautifully engineered and highly successful little sports car, enjoying a strong appreciation by sports car connoisseurs which is translated in a steadily increasing value. -

Two years later, Jean-Emile- Amédée Rédélé was born on May 17, 1922. After completing his studies in Normandy, Jean Rédélé took his Baccalauréat exam during the Second World War and came into contact with people as diverse as Antoine Blondin, Gérard Philipe and Edmond de Rothschild.
