He will be joined throughout the day by WBZ 4’s team of marathon experts including three-time marathon winner Uta Pippig; Kathrine Switzer, the first woman to officially wear numbers in the Boston Marathon; Frank Shorter, a gold medal Olympic marathoner, and Jean Driscoll, 8-time winner of the Boston Marathon women’s wheelchair division. race director Tim Kilduff; WBZ 4’s Ron Sanders will ride in and report from the women’s truck. WBZ-TV 4 will stay live until 4:00PM to show as many of the runners as possible. Post race coverage and a complete wrap-up of the day’s events will follow on WBZ 4 News at 5:00PM, 6:00PM and 11:00PM.

WBZ 4 will also feature live reports from communities along the race route including Framingham, WBZ 4 News’ Kasey Kaufman from Natick, Kathy Curran in Wellesley, and David Robichaud at Heartbreak Hill in Newton. WBZ 4 News anchor Lisa Hughes will run the marathon to raise money for The American Liver Foundation.
