Disney Studios Diluted earnings per share (EPS) for the second quarter increased 29% to $0.63 from $0.49 in the prior-year quarter. EPS for the Bob Iger, Chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company, current quarter included a gain related to an acquisition and announced that Alan Horn has been named Chairman of The Walt restructuring and impairment charges, which together resulted in Disney Studios effective June 11. Horn will oversee worldwide a net $0.05 benefit to EPS. Excluding these items, EPS for the operations for The Walt Disney Studios including production, quarter increased 18% to $0.58 compared to $0.49 in the prior- distribution and marketing for live-action and animated films from year quarter.
