Inventarisasi Dan Eksplorasi Mineral Logam Di Daerah Kabupaten Cianjur Dan Kabupaten Sukabumi Provinsi Jawa Barat (Dim-Kigam Fase Iii), Ta INVENTARISASI DAN EKSPLORASI MINERAL LOGAM DI DAERAH KABUPATEN CIANJUR DAN KABUPATEN SUKABUMI PROVINSI JAWA BARAT (DIM-KIGAM FASE III), TA. 2004 Oleh : Sahat Simanjuntak, Armin Tampubolon, Kisman, Selo H.J. Sihombing SUBDIT MINERAL LOGAM ABSTRACT The investigation report is resulted from the third phase of joint exploration program between Directorate of Mineral Resources Inventory and Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) taking place within the Southern Mountains of West Java Region. There are two methods that have been performed during this third phase investigation including diamond drilling and general survey. The former took place around Mt.Cilangkap, southern part of Mt. Subang, Tanggeung District, Cianjur Regency. While the latter took place within the mining concession area belonging to Directorate General of Geology and Mineral Resources (WPP DJGSM). Before conducting drilling activity, a grid system of soil geochemistry and systimatical sampling from trenches around Celak quartz vein and Cigadobras quartz vein areas have been done. The results obtained from these activities are the geochemical anomalies for Cu, Pb, Zn, Ag and Au in soil and the interval values of gold contents ranging from 7.8 – 91.1 ppm in the trenches. Diamond drilling in aimed to check subsurface geology in Mt. Cilangkap area was focussed on four bore holes with a total depth of 310 m where the type of drilling machine used during this activity is Koken OE-8. Nothing mineralisation zone has been accountered during this drilling activity. Based on core description, three lithological units have been found, consisting of andesitic lava, lapilli tuff and andesitic breccia.Propyllitic alteration is dominantly observed in most of samples taken from drilling holes although some barren quartz veinlets can be found in core samples. There are 70 samples taken during drilling activities. All of these samples have been analysed for Au, indicating that the highest gold value is up to 0.142 ppm. No gold mineralisation zone has been accountered. This is probably as result of normal faulting system occurred in this region. In this case, Mt. Cilangkap area is inferred as foot wall of the system so that the mineralisation is probably in too deep position and thus may has not been reached by the drilling depth target. The general survey conducted in WPP DJGSM area has not found an indication for metallic deposit in terms of alteration or significant values of metallic elements. The chemical analysis results of rock samples for Au range from 15 ppb to 65 ppb, while for stream sediment samples show a maximum value of 186 ppb Au . Tanggeung, Kabupaten Cianjur, Provinsi Jawa 1.
