DAVID FOSTER WALLACE is the author of several highly acclaimed books, including the novels The Broom of the System and Infinite Jest; the story collections Girl with Curious Hair and Brief Interviews with Hideous Men and the nonfiction collections A Supposedly Fun Thing I’ll Never Do Again and Consider the Lobster. He is the recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship and numerous other awards. He died in 2008. His last novel, The Pale King, was published in 2011.
