    Randy Mamola Divenuto professionista a soli 16 anni, Randy esordì nel Motomondiale nel 1979 in sella ad una Yamaha 250, con la quale conquistò 3 podi e chiuse il campionato in quarta posizione. Amava guidare la moto fidandosi solo del suo istinto e senza mai calcolare nulla: sorpassi impossibili, staccate incredibili, intraversate, fumate di gomme e pieghe oltre i limiti della fisica erano all’ordine del giorno. Rischiava molto e spesso, anche quando non era necessario. Sull’asciutto e sul bagnato, di cui era uno spe - cialista. Con gomme nuove e con gomme finite. E fu proprio per questa sua spiccata propensione al rischio che Randy Mamola, a differenza dei suoi illustri conterranei, rimase un Re senza corona. Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, Cagiva e ancora Yamaha. In tredici stagioni nella classe regina corse prati - camente con tutte le moto, raccogliendo 13 vittorie e 54 podi. Peccato solo per quel titolo mondiale più volte sfiorato, ma mai arrivato. Nel 1980 fu Kenny Roberts a negarglielo, nel 1981 Marco Lucchinelli, nel 1984 Eddie Lawson e nel 1987 Wayne Gardner. Generoso in pista e nella vita, nel 1986 Randy cominciò a raccogliere fondi per Save the Children, un’associazione che si occupa tuttora dei bambini africani. E fu proprio durante uno dei suoi viaggi in Africa che notò qualcosa che lo colpì profondamente: le motoci - clette venivano utilizzate per il trasporto di medicinali e di apparecchiature mediche. ZGODBO ZLATE LISICE PIŠEMO SKUPAJ Za nas Štajerce, ki smo Pohorje vedno imeli pred očmi, je Zlata lisica zmeraj pomenila najpomembnejšo športno prireditev v vsakem letu in za naše športne junakinje smo vedno srčno in glasno navijali. Na Pohorje sem se sicer vselej z največjim veseljem vračal, pa če je šlo za dnevno smučarijo, poletne priprave namiznoteniškega kluba ali pa le ob pogledu iz družinskega vinograda, ko se pred očmi za Ptujskim in Dravskim poljem razgrne v vsej mogočnosti. Čeravno sem sam zgolj rekreativni smučar in sem bil tekmovalno zapisan namiznemu tenisu, občudujem vse slovenske športnice in športnike, ki s trdim delom predano sledijo postavljenim ciljem, imajo najvišje ambicije in dosegajo izjemne rezultate v svetovnem merilu. V športu je vse jasno in običajno ni prostora za iskanje izgovorov. Podobno filozofijo gojijo tudi slovenske podjetnice in podjetniki, ki dosegajo vse boljše rezultate v globalni konkurenci. Vnaprej se veselim časa, ko si bomo tudi v oblastnih strukturah in Za to skrbimo na več načinov. The winners’ list of the numerous World Cup stages organized in Sestriere since 1967 – many part being of in the prestigious Arlberg-Kandahar “Classic” – really is impressive… Most of the stars and “Skiing Legends” from the 1960s until 2016 excelled on the various slopes of the Vialattea which also hosted thrilling medal events back in 1997 (FIS World Championships) and 2006 (Olympics), without forgetting the exciting World Cup Finals in 2004! Among the winners on the women’s tour one can find the name of two Italian aces - Giustina Demetz who enjoyed a memorable win in downhill in March 1967 (sharing first place with France’s exceptional Marielle Goitschel) while Maria Rosa Quario won a slalom later on in 1983! In January 2020, a group of specialists of the “Squadra Rosa” will surely be fighting hard to claim the first Italian victory in a World Cup giant slalom race on the challenging G. Agnelli course, 23 years after the gold medal triumphs of Deborah Compagnoni in both tech events of the FIS World Championships. Interestingly enough, there are several Italian candidates ready to strike as shown by the results of the first competitions held in Austria and North America, where four Italian champions celebrated a brilliant victory and several podium finishes in three different specialties – giant slalom, downhill and Super-G.
