    Press release 19 May 2016 Clas Ohlson opens first store in Germany today Earlier today, Clas Ohlson opened up the doors to their store on Jungfernstieg in Hamburg. The store is Clas Ohlson’s very first on the German market. The interest was huge and spirits high when various kinds of activities took place for media and other guests earlier this week, but above all when the doors finally opened to the German consumers this morning and customers poured in. “Germany is a market that we have been interested in and glanced at for many years. We see a great potential in the German market and we believe that our concept will fit the German consumer very well. It is a big day for us today and we are overwhelmed by the interest for the opening. To see the massive amount of customers when we opened the doors to the store is an experience that I will never forget”, says Klas Balkow, President and CEO at Clas Ohlson. Clas Ohlson’s store on Jungfernstieg in Hamburg has a retail space of approximately 1,800 square meters. The catchment area of the store is approximately 680,000 inhabitants. Two more stores are scheduled to open in Hamburg this autumn, in the city districts of Altona and Alstertal. In financial year 2016/17, Clas Ohlson plans to establish 10-15 new stores. The number of future stores contracted amounts to 10. Clas Ohlson has e-commerce in four out of six markets, and a total of 206 stores, of which 85 in Sweden, 72 in Norway, 34 in Finland, 13 in the UK, one in Germany and one franchise store in Dubai.

    Press release 30 November 2017 Clas Ohlson opens new stores in Germany and Norway Earlier today, Clas Ohlson opened the Group’s 226th and 227th store, in Germany and Norway. Both stores further strengthens Clas Ohlson’s presence in the local retail markets in Hamburg and Bergen. After months of preparations, Clas Ohlson’s fourth store in Hamburg opened up for business today. The store has a retail space of slightly more than 1,000 square meters and is situated on the centrally located shopping street Spitalerstraße. “We aim to build a strong foothold in the Hamburg region as part of the first phase of our German expansion and by establishing this fourth store, we now have a solid presence in the city. We have a very good team in place in Hamburg, not least in the new store on Spitalerstraße. I am very much looking forward to see what the future brings,” says Sampo Päällysaho, Managing Director of Clas Ohlson Germany. Also in Norway, customers were exited to enter Clas Ohlson’s new store in central Bergen, the 87th store in the Norwegian market and the sixth store in the Bergen area. “Bergen has always been a very good city for us, and we have wanted to open a store right in the middle of the city centre for a long time. Based on revised earnings, we arrive at a new midpoint DCF equity value of SEK 125 per share (changed from SEK 105). At this level the equity would be valued at 13x 2021 EV/EBIT – on par with peers. New market sales and increased share of own brands are key assumptions. Around SEK 400m (or 35%) of the SEK 1.1bn delta in total revenue is Market cap (USDm) 148 expected to be generated from new markets, implying a reasonable 5.5% CAGR Market cap (EURm) 125 to reach 2025 sales of SEK 3.1bn in its existing markets. We have increased our Net debt (SEKm) 144 private label and own brand sales assumptions. These sales will also be the main Net gearing 27% Net debt/EBITDA (x) 0.9 driver in reaching total revenue targets, implying a CAGR of 8.2% in 2020-2025.
