TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP ANNOUNCES 2019 PLAYER FIELD

HARTFORD, Conn., June 14, 2019 – The Travelers Championship today announced its full player field for the 2019 tournament, which will feature five golfers ranked among the world’s top 10, 16 of the top 30 and nine past champions of the event. The tournament will be held June 17-23 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut.

The five players in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking include (No. 1), (No. 6), (No. 7), Patrick Cantlay (No. 8) and Bryson DeChambeau (No. 9).

This year’s field includes nine players who have won the tournament at TPC River Highlands: Three-time winner and defending champion (2010, 2015 and 2018), Jordan Spieth (2017), Russell Knox (2016), Kevin Streelman (2014), Marc Leishman (2012), Freddie Jacobson (2011), (2007), J.J. Henry (2006) and two-time winner (2001 and 2002).

Based on the results of the U.S. Open, the player field is subject to change. Four additional spots will be filled through Open Qualifying, which will be held Monday, June 17, at Ellington Ridge Country Club in Ellington, Connecticut.
