on Quixote was created for the Imperial Russian Ballet and had its world premiere in Moscow an D December 14, 1869. It entered the repertoire of American Ballet Theatre on March 28, 1978 at the Kennedy Center, Washington, D.C., in a production staged by Mikhail Baryshnikov. Another version was later staged for the company by Vladimir Vasiliev and was premiered on · ~ February 15, 1991, at the Civic Opera House in Chicago. This present production was first performed by American Ballet Theatre on June 12, 1995 , at the House in New York City.
