SOUTHWEST FLIGHT 3952 08:15 AM Arrive Jose Marti International Airport, Havana. 10:00 AM Visit to Cuban Numismatic Museum and presentation on the history of the USA influence on the Cuban monetary and banking system. 11:00 AM Walking tour of Old Havana with Sergio Gonzlez and visits to the former Havana Wall Street and the various old bank locations and architecture. Tour of Castillo de Real Fuerza. 12:00 Lunch at La Calesa Real a private paladar known for lobster and sea food. 02:00 PM Visit to San Jose flea market with opportunity to visit the kiosk of Antonio a Cuban entrepreneur who specializes in numismatic items and antiques. 04:00 PM Check in to Hotel Nacional or other accommodations 08:00 PM Dinner at La Guarida, private sector restaurant known as paladar
DAY 2 MONDAY 07:00 AM-08:30 AM Full breakfast at Hotel. 09:00-11:30 AM Tour of historic sites related to the life of Jose Marti in Havana. Included are a visit to the house where he was born, La Fragua Martiana, and the Jose Marti Memorial. 12:00 Lunch at Café Oriente a state owned restaurant. 02:00 PM Visit to the Office of the Historidor and the Jose Marti Society of Cuba to discuss the minting of a commemorative medallion on the historic relation between Jose Marti and Ybor City in Tampa. 05:00 PM Back to Hotel 08:00 PM Dinner at La Bonita Restaurant.
DAY 3 TUESDAY 07:00 AM-08:30 AM Full breakfast at Hotel. 09:00 AM Depart for day tour of Vinales including El Mirador de Jazmines, Mogotes, Wall of Prehistory, Cueva de Indios. 12:00 PM Lunch in paladar in Vinales 06:00 PM Return to Hotel. 08:00 PM FREE NIGHT. Dinner at your leisure. We suggest visits to LA CASA DE MUSCIA or TROPICANA.
DAY 4 WEDNESDAY 07:00 AM-8:30 AM Full breakfast at hotel. 09:00 AM Lecture on the History of the Mafia in Cuba up to the 1959 Revolution. Special attention paid to Santo Traficante and the Tampa mob connection 10:00 AM Depart for tour of the iconic Havana mob hotels with casinos in the 1950’s. We will visit the Hotel Nacional, the Capri, and Riviera Hotel. Classic car tour of Vedado and the Malecon. 1:00 PM Lunch at 7HM Paladar. 2:00 PM Meeting with Cuban Numismatic Association. This is a group of numismatic collectors who have different clubs throughout the island. We will be attending one of their normal club meetings. 5:00 PM Dinner and Numismatic exchange/ exhibition with Cuban collectors in paladar in Old Havana 9:00 PM Return to Hotel.
