On the window adjacent to the main office entrance on the top floor of the Tropico Building on the Garfield Campus; On display inside the glass doors at the front entrance of the Professional Development Center; At <http://www.glendale.edu/boardoftrustees>. In accordance with the Brown Act revisions, any writings relating to open session agenda items and distributed to all or a majority of all Board Members within 72 hours prior to a regular meeting, or within 24 hours prior to a special meeting, shall be made available for inspection by the public in the Office of the Superintendent/President, John A. Davitt Administration Building, AD 106, 1500 N. Verdugo Road, Glendale, CA 91208 during regular business hours. A speaker must state his or her name and address prior to speaking to the Board. Not more than a total of five (5) minutes may be allotted to each speaker per board meeting and no more than twenty (20) minutes will be allocated to public comment on any agenda item, except by unanimous consent of the Board. A speaker’s time may not be transferred to another speaker. RESOLUTIONS 1. Resolution No. 15: Transfer from the General Fund, Unrestricted (01) to the 11 Cafeteria Fund (30) The Superintendent/President recommends that the Board of Trustees adopt Resolution No. 15 transfer $150,000 from the Unrestricted General Fund to the Cafeteria Fund for cash flow needs. INFORMATIONAL REPORTS 1. Second Quarter Budget Balances as of December 31, 2013 13 This is a summary report on the operation of the District involving payments, incomes and estimates of balances. 2. Second Quarter Financial Status Report 27 This report complies with AB 2910 which requires community colleges to report each quarter on their financial condition and will be forwarded through the County Superintendent of Schools to the State Chancellor’s Office. 3. Administrative Services - Board Policy 3430: Prohibition of Harassment 144 The Superintendent/President recommends that the Board of Trustees conduct the first of two readings required before board action on Board Policy 3430. 2. Approval of Minutes – Regular Board Meeting of January 28, 2014 150 Approval is recommended. 2. Warrants - District Funds – January 1, 2014 through January 31, 2014 158 The Superintendent/President recommends that the Board of Trustees approve warrants issued during the month of January 2014 totaling $10,577,939.81. 3. Contract Listing and Purchase Order Listing – January 1, 2014 through 164 January 31, 2014 The Superintendent/President recommends that the Board of Trustees approve contracts and purchase orders issued during the month of January 2014 totaling $1,416,931.44. 4. Budget Revisions and Appropriation Transfers – General Fund Unrestricted (01) 191 January 1, 2014 through January 31, 2014 Approval is recommended. 5. Budget Revisions and Appropriation Transfers – General Fund Restricted (03) 193 January 1, 2014 through January 31, 2014 Approval is recommended 6. Non-Resident Tuition and Capital Outlay Fees for the 2014-15 Academic Year 195 Approval is recommended. 7. Approval of Agreement with the Law Offices of Nielson, Merksamer, Parrinello, 197 Gross & Leoni, LLP The Superintendent/President recommends that the Board of Trustees approve the agreement with Nielson, Merksamer, Parrinello, Gross & Leoni, LLP for assistance with redistricting matters. 8. Community College Classified Employee of the Year Award 262 The Superintendent/President recommends that the Board of Trustees forward to the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office the name of Hoover Zariani for the Community College Classified Employee of the Year Award for 2014. 2. Change Order No. 002 – Lab/College Services Building 270 The Superintendent/President recommends that the Board of Trustees approve Change Order No. 002 for the Lab/College Services Building and that the contract price be amended to reflect an increase of $203,760.
