All glaciers receded during the pe- 8, 3367–3411, 2014 riod 1952–2005; area retreat averaged −0.19 ± 0.05 % a−1. From 1952 to 1985, nine −1 5 glaciers advanced. Following 1985, retreat rates accelerated to −0.41 ± 0.12 % a .
