August 14, 2OZQ for the Tlventieth Session of the Fourteenth Kerala Legislative Assembly was issued to the Members on August 14 2020. The Session dommenced at 9.00 a.m. on Mondat August 24 2020 and adjourned sine-die at 9,27 p.m. orr the same day. The House nansacted business for 12 hours and 27 minutes. Independence Day celebration was held on 12th of August and Mr. Roji M John, MLA, Angamaly was the Chief Guest and he gave a thought provoking speech befitting the occasion. 2. The Annual sports Meet was held on 20th of August. The Chief Guest was a very revered personality all over India Mr. T.K Chathunni, The Former Football Coach, Indian Football Team. 3. Grand Parents’ Day was celebrated on 23rd of August. Adv. Charly Paul was the Chief Guest who delivered a worthy speech on this auspicious occasion. The grandparents were very much thrilled to be offered a ‘Paada Pooja’ by their own grand children in a typical Kerala tradition. They were also conferred Ponnadas as a token of love and respect. The very necessity of behaving nobly to grandparents in the present scenario could be instilled in the mind of all the children who attended this function. A lunch was also served for the grandparents. 4. Teachers ‘Day celebration is on 5th September. Innovative programmes have been planned by the PTWA and students to extend their love and respect to the teachers. 5. The open house of classes IX and X will be held on 8th of September. 6. Onam celebration is on 9th of September and school closes for the Onam vacation. The school dispersal is at 1.00 p.m after the celebration . The school re-opens on 19th of September.

In the six decades since the coastal south Indian state was formed and made history by becoming the first anywhere in the world to return a communist government to power through the ballot box in 1957, elections in Kerala have been remarkably consistent. Coalitions led by either the communists or the Congress Party – since 1982 the Left Democratic Front (LDF) or the United Democratic Front (UDF) – have alternated in winning all but one of thirteen elections (the exception was in 1977). The results of the polls on 16 May were no different: the LDF succeeded in ousting the UDF from office, claiming 91 of the 140 state assembly seats to 47 for the UDF.
