CAROLINA GAMES SUMMIT 2018

The tenth Carolina Games Summit on February 3rd and 4th 2018 increased the number of exhibitors, partners, and sponsors significantly. Bringing so many companies together produced an event that exceeded expectations for marketing potential and consumer satisfaction across the board. This year we put more focus on promoting esports as a career by featuring speakers to help players looking to break into the industry, in addition to our normal game development and digital design sessions.

2017 Date: Saturday, February 3rd and Sunday, February 4th Venue: Multiple Downtown Goldsboro, NC Attendance: 1,300+

Format: Our mission is to increase awareness of the videogame industry by bringing the technology and people behind video games face to face with gamers of all ages.

We mix game development speakers and exhibitors with equal amounts of game tournaments and free play stations so that every attendee has something to enjoy.

Attendees researched their future gaming careers by speaking with Universities, Schools and Game Developers then fragged their friends in one of twenty gaming tournaments.

EVENT FEEDBACK

“This was my first event in NC period and it was great. I'm not from the Goldsboro area I had to drive an hour out but it was totally worth it. the atmosphere was joyful, and there was so much to look at and see. Definitely going next year. the downtown area is low key and beautiful.” -Kadeem Anderson

“Not from the Goldsboro area but this place was awesome. If you're a gamer you get to meet others who vary from skill, you meet others with similar interests, it's just an overall positive atmosphere. The downtown area it was hosted was also beautiful. And the selection of games were not bad at all. Some wish there were more prizes but the prize for me was the thrill of facing others in something I love to do. Definitely going next year. And I WILL take 1st place.” -Christopher Coefield

“First time going to this event and even though I haven't gamed in 10 years I had a blast! Got to spend time with friends, make new friends and the Triforce Quartet was amazing! I love that they are rejuvenating life in downtown Goldsboro. Can't wait for next year! “ -Jessica Lear
