KIDS CALENDAR ART CONTEST Entries must be postmarked by May 1st, 2021

Possible Artwork Subjects: Choose a 11” wide character(s) from any PBS Kids show, SAMPLESAMPLE and draw what they would do if they visited your hometown. Think about what makes your hometown unique,

such as: landmarks, public art, parks, tall 8.5” or historic buildings. The possibilities are endless!

Possible Children’s Show Characters: For a full listing of shows and If Big Bird visited Newton, KS he would love seeing the “Blue Sky” sculpture! It’s our most famous landmark and characters go to pbskids.org. I love taking pictures there!

Contest Purpose: To create a positive SAMPLE learning experience for children. To encourage a positive connection with his/her favorite educational PBS Kids characters, while learning about what makes their hometown unique. This will further children’s understanding of the things surrounding them that have an impact on their daily lives. Contest Conditions: Parental consent is required. Once submitted to PBS Kansas, entries become property of the station and will not be returned. PBS Kansas reserves the right to publish the entries may be used in the 2022 Calendar, and future publications without notice, as well as in marketing promotions.
