BUSH’S BEANS “TEAM UP AGAINST HUNGER” FOOD DRIVE

In July, Minor League Baseball and BUSH’s Beans joined forces to collect over five tons of food for Feeding America and other local

| food banks as part of their “Team Up Against Hunger” food drive.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY & GIVING The combined efforts allowed local food banks to provide over 9,000 meals across 35 states. The donation drive of canned and dry goods is strategically set during the summer months, when the number of food drives traditionally slows down, and the lack of school-provided meals creates a greater need.

BUSH’S BEANS MVP AWARD

BUSH’s Beans is the presenting partner of each All-Star Game MVP throughout each of the leagues across MiLB. Each MVP winner receives a custom trophy and a monetary donation to a local organization chosen by their home club. BUSH’s is very passionate about supporting the organizations that mean most to MiLB communities across the country, and this award is a great opportunity for BUSH’s to use their platform for the greater good. 16 2018 MiLB Community Report MiLB EMPLOYEE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Minor League Baseball staff gave back to its local Tampa Bay community by participating in various group volunteer activities throughout 2018. Organizations supported in 2018 included Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay, Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay, Feeding America, Girls on the Run

Tampa Bay, and The Salvation Army of Pinellas County. |

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY & GIVING

The MiLB office also participates in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay mentorship program. In 2018, there were eight full-time employees who were active within the mentorship program and remain committed to being a big brother or big sister to a little within the community.

JACKIE ROBINSON CELEBRATION GAME AT

The Celebration Game is a nationally-recognized Minor League Baseball game held annually on April 15 at Historic Dodgertown to celebrate the achievements of Jackie Robinson. Minor League Baseball President and CEO Pat O’Conner was present at the 2018 game that featured the Florida State League’s St. Lucie Mets and Florida Fire Frogs. All ticket proceeds from the game benefited the United Way of Indian River County. One hundred children from the Gifford Youth Achievement Center were given the opportunity to attend the game, and Minor League Baseball Charities donated tickets, food and drinks. 17 2018 MiLB Community Report COPA DE LA DIVERSIÓN

Minor League Baseball expanded its Latinx fan engagement efforts in 2018 with the launch of “Copa de la Diversión,” its new, season-long event series specifically designed to embrace the culture and values that resonate most with MiLB’s Latinx fan base.

|

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY & GIVING In addition to transforming into community-relevant names such as the Mariachis de Nuevo Mexico (), Flying Chanclas de San Antonio () and Cucuys de San Bernardino (Inland Empire 66ers), all 33 participating Copa teams updated their ballpark experiences to truly represent their respective communities by: hiring bilingual full-time staff so their front office proportionally represented its community; adding new, locally-revered food and beverage options to concessions menus; and providing the music and game entertainment experience U.S. Hispanic/Latinx fans value and enjoy the most.

MiLB and the 33 Copa teams raised more than $100,000 for local Latinx-centric philanthropic organizations. In December 2018, MiLB announced a new charitable partnership with the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA), expanding LFA’s reach, and helping raise awareness of lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease that can cause inflammation, pain and damage to any part of the body. Latinxs are two to three times more likely to develop lupus, making outreach even more crucial.

The Copa event series will expand in 2019 and feature 72 MiLB teams and approximately 400 games.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America builds mentoring relationships that empower youth to reach their full potential and achieve their biggest possible futures. Research shows that kids who are matched with adult mentors through Big Brothers Big Sisters of America are much less likely to miss school, use drugs, or get arrested. They show stronger performance in their school work and get along better with their peers and their families. These positive effects ripple outward through families, schools and communities everywhere. The results benefit us all.

| There is wide range of ways that MiLB clubs support Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. Many MiLB office and club personnel volunteer as mentors

CHARITY PARTNERS for their local agencies by serving as “Bigs” year-round. The majority of club support for 2018 was through ticket donations to local agencies. When tickets were donated, it was often in connection with a Big Brothers Big Sisters awareness night at the ballpark. During these nights, “Bigs” and “Littles” often participated in on-field promotions at the game. Support also includes donating items for auctions, giving “Littles” the opportunity to serve as batboys and batgirls for each game, providing mascot and player appearances for special events and donating portions of the 50/50 raffle done nightly at ballparks.

EVENT SPOTLIGHT:

As one of their Education Days, the Harrisburg Senators teamed up with their local Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter to create a “Bigs for a Day” game at FNB Field. Each student was matched with a Senators staff member as their honorary “Big” for the day. The students enjoyed following staff members around for the entire game to see all the ins and outs of working in professional sports. They got to be in the radio booth with the Broadcaster, in the control room with the game entertainment crew, and down on the field with the promotions team. 30 2018 MiLB Community Report THE BAIRFIND FOUNDATION

The BairFind Foundation, founded in Jacksonville, Florida, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the goal of getting the public involved in the search for missing children. The Concourse Sign Project works with professional sports teams to keep profiles of missing children in public view. By placing profiles of missing children in stadium concourses, fans frequently walk by the signs, aiding the foundation’s “more eyes looking means more children found and brought home” idea.

BairFind signs were on display in 67 MiLB ballparks during the 2018 season. The vinyl banners and wooden A-frames featuring missing children were | produced by AMI Graphics, the Official Signage Supplier of Minor League Baseball, and featured eight missing children from each local area (double CHARITY PARTNERS the number from 2016). An astounding 295 children featured on signage in MiLB ballparks were safely located in 2018.

EVENT SPOTLIGHT:

The Rochester Red Wings displayed a poster of missing children in their region in a high-traffic area of the stadium in addition to a video board announcement. More eyes looking results in more children brought home. The Red Wings also made a $500 contribution to the BairFind Foundation.
