Explains that the filter sent was no good and did not clean the muddy Alexandra waters, He felt sorry for the soldiers sleeping in their tents! He was going to apply to Sir Garnett for a very small subsidy to carry the mails to Famagusta 26 miles and drive the cart himself. Also get a large tract of land to sell in London next June.
