Assembling of this is time consuming and this traditional concept is not movable. The Solution Police being first responder can use this light tower which consist of an inbuilt genset, blowers, lamp. The user has to switch on the generator first, then blower which inflates the cloth to a height of 4.5 meters from ground level. Further the user switches on the 400 W MH lamp which provides 360° glare free illumination up to 10,000 sq. meters within 3 minutes. Further bomb disposal squads, training camps in jungles, reserve battlions and special squads use this light tower as per the requirement.

CHRI’s specialisation in the areas of Access to Justice (ATJ) and Access to Information (ATI) are widely known. The ATJ programme has focussed on Police and Prison Reforms, to reduce arbitrariness and ensure transparency while holding duty bearers to account. The Delhi Government has reimbursed the treatment cost to Dr Amit Gupta, employed with Satyavadi Raja Harishchandra Hospital as a Senior Resident Doctor (Paediatrics) on contractual basis. Being a contractual doctor, he was denied any financial assistance after getting infected with Covid-19, the NHRC said in a statement. The Commission, on the basis of a complaint in this regard, had issued a notice to the Union Health & Family Welfare Ministry and the Delhi Government asking for extending immediate financial assistance and other support to the ailing doctor.

In its 2006 judgement in the Prakash Singh case, the Supreme Court of India passed seven directives for structural reform of the police.1 These directives taken together were designed to kick start the process of reform. As one of the seven directives, the Court ordered all state governments and union territories to establish Police Complaints Authorities (PCAs) at the state and district levels, with immediate effect. In response to the huge volume of complaints against the police and the endemic lack of accountability, the creation of dedicated police complaints bodies has been a long-standing recommendation in relation to police reform in India. In 2006, the Court finally provided the push for implementation. The sixth anniversary is an appropriate occasion to take stock of how the Supreme Court judgement and the ensuing reforms have served the cause of police accountability in the country. Background The intention behind setting up police complaints authorities was to ensure that a local mechanism specialised in handling a wide ambit of complaints against the police, including the most serious, was readily available to the public at large. The long-term goal was to create a change in policing culture by drawing attention to and ensuring accountability for police abuses.

    Ajay Kumar Yadav* ABSTRACT This Paper is an effort to determine how community policing has been working in India to prevent the crime and disorder in the society and examine the resources and valuable information which is being shared to solving the problems. Participation of people in the policing approves the existence and the action of police. It also makes an effort in analyzing the various aspects of police functioning related to community policing and how community policing foster the cultural diversity and democratic behavior of the Indian society. Concept of community policing improves good relation and mutual understanding between the police and the community. It also enhances the co-operation among police, educational institutes, religious bodies, labor unions, mass media, social work agency and various community organizations. The experience of the community organizations strengthens the functioning and efficiency of police department. Good public relations of police provide some beneficial service to the community. This paper makes an insight into the community participation and stresses on inter-professional approach to solving the problems of the society.
