The SMP-L connector adds a patent pending locking mechanism to the standard SMP interface, referred to as Secure-Lok™. This makes the connectors ideal for rugged military and commercial applications up to 40 GHz, where susceptibility to vibration and other environmental factors have historically limited designers to use threaded connectors. TMP® Connectors – High Power Push-On The TMP® connectors are comparable in size to an SMA connector and are designed to provide a convenient blind- mateable solution specifically for high power applications.
