Storebrand returns to

Storebrand signs Nordic agreement with Telenor, worth approximately NOK 50 million over three years.

The Storebrand group is a leader in the Nordic long-term savings and market. The group consists of four business areas; life insurance, P&C insurance, asset management and banking. The group's head office is in and it has a nationwide network of offices in . Storebrand is moving its head office from Filipstad Brygge to Lysaker in Bærum in December 2009. Telenor and Atea are to supply the solutions that will help Storebrand run its business more effeiciently and in a more future- oriented manner.

Security and quality are vital

"As with Telenor, Storebrand must deliver security, quality and offer good coverage to its mobile users. Close interaction between Microsoft applications, telephony and data is also important if Storebrand's employees are to work as efficiently and seamlessly as possible," says Kjell Almli, who is responsible for telephony at Storebrand. The agreement is for three and a half years and runs until 31 December 2013. It covers all mobile voice traffic, use of mobile broadband for all employees, integration with switchboard via ProffNett* and fixed-line traffic and intelligent network services for customer centres. The agreement is worth NOK 16 million per year and is estimated to have a total value of approximately 50 NOK million. "Storebrand is an aggressive customer with high expectectations from its communication solutions. Solution security for everything Telenor offers is one of Storebrand's top priorities. For us it is exciting to be able to put together a total communication package together with our partner, Atea, to create a more efficient working environment for Storebrand's employees," says Abraham Foss, head of business markets in Telenor Norway. Telenor has worked with Atea to win the contract and Atea will supply Storebrand with customer contact centres, Unified Communication (UC) solutions and call manager solutions. * ProffNett is a product from Telenor for small and medium-sized businesses. At the touch of a couple of buttons you can transfer calls, automatically forward calls, hold conference calls and call your colleagues for free. This makes it easy to provide good service to your customers. ProffNett can also be combined with fixed-line telephones.
