It is important to be a good citizen because respect is earned not given. When a kid looks up to me and considers me as a role model. I want to set a good example and leave an impression on them that will create a domino eff ect. So when they grow up and get older, they are respectful and polite towards others and will also become good citizens and role models to others.

Why do you think it is important to be a good citizen at school and in your community? It is important to be a good role model. If everyone did something nice for someone else, the community would be an even bett er place. My role models are my dad and two sisters, Hannah and Hallee. Hallee has been an upstanding citizen while we were at home during quarantine. Hallee made face masks for the staff at the hospital and members of the general public. She never asked for money, just gave masks away to whoever needed them. One simple act of kindness can go a very long way. We all need to give back to out community.
