Founded in 1562, University of Lille III is the present-day evolution of l'Université de Douai. The University of Lille system has over 90,000 students; the true embodiment of a city-campus. University buidlings and halls are spread throughout the city, allowing students to integrate fully into French life.

Lille is a city in the northern French region of -Pas-de-Calais, located in close proximity to major European cities like Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, and London. Lille is a majoor European transportation hub, making it an ideal location for students interested in exploring the greater region and Western Europe.

In 2004, Lille was elected a European Capital of Culture. The temperate climate is similar to West Virginia, with warmer summers and cold winters.

Financial aid and scholarships will apply! Students will pay university and study abroad tuition and fees to WVU, while housing and food will be paid in France.
