Inefficiencies in transport links drive up the costs of doing business in the Illawarra and compromise future opportunities for market expansion. There are strong concerns that without effective planning and action now to address this issue, the projected expansion in the passenger and freight movement task over the next 20 years will see the transport and logistics costs for business increase significantly. -

The 2021 RAM funding represents the total 2021 funding for the four equity loadings and the three base allocation loadings, a total of seven loadings. The equity loadings are socio-economic background, Aboriginal background, English language proficiency and low-level adjustment for disability. Vet little hes been written about it, and some of the brief commentaries that have appeared are incorrect. This account outlines the major feature. of the escarpment, its origins, and also the hazards of land slip encountered on its slopes. Soon the South Coast and West Camden Co-op opened its own selling floors in Sussex Street, Sydney. Illawarra and Shoalhaven farmers immediately withdrew their consignments from ‘the system’ and sent their produce instead to the fledgling co-operative. On Mondays and Thursdays steamers arrived from Wollongong, Kiama and Shoalhaven. Carrier after carrier had to be engaged to convey the butter, bacon and cheese sent from the South Coast to the Co-op’s floor while many agents had nothing else to do but stand outside their doors and watch their business disappear, their carts returned empty from the wharf. The oC -op finished business on the evening of its opening day with all its consignments sold at a very good price. Appendix J Historic heritage Australian Industrial Energy Port Kembla Gas Terminal Historic Heritage Assessment November 2018 Executive summary Australian Industrial Energy (AIE) have commissioned GHD Pty Ltd (GHD) to undertake a Historical Heritage Assessment (HHA) for the proposed Port Kembla Gas Terminal (the project) in Port Kembla, New South Wales (NSW). The project involves the development of a liquified natural gas (LNG) import terminal including a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) moored at Berth 101 in the Inner Harbour, visiting LNG carriers, wharf offloading facilities and the installation of new pipeline to connect to the existing gas transmission network. The project has been declared Critical State Significant Infrastructure and must be assessed in accordance with Section 5.13 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, 1979 (EP&A Act) and Schedule 5 of the State Environmental Planning Policy (SEPP) (State and Regional Development) 2011. An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is required to support the application for approval by the NSW Minister for Planning. This HHA has been prepared in accordance with the Secretary’s environmental assessment requirements (SEARs) and provides information and advice on historical heritage considerations for the proposed works. The study area has been heavily modified with little to no potential for historical features and/or archaeological deposits to survive. Pockets of less disturbed land with potential for historical heritage features and archaeological deposits are located on Spring Hill to the east and west of Springhill Road. Industrial moveable heritage items are also on display in the study area as part of the Inside Industry Visitor Centre on Bluescope Steel land. -

Guidelines for Realistic Traffic Workings For the Main Illawarra Route V3.0 for MSTS Guidelines for Realistic Traffic Workings For the Main Illawarra Route V3.0 for MSTS This document came about as a series of notes that I wrote for my own information when creating and running trains on my MSTS NSWGR Main Illawarra route V3.0. As more information came to hand, I decided to make it available to the general MSTS NSWGR community, to enhance their enjoyment of running trains in MSTS over this route. Please note that this document is considered a „work in progress‟, and that in some sections there is currently little or no information to hand. General Notes Although the Illawarra Main Line was generally double track throughout between Sydney and Wollongong, there were two traffic working „bottlenecks‟. At Como the rail bridge over the Georges River used gauntlet trackwork, which necessitated the equivalent of Single Line Working. Block signalling was provided at both the north and south approaches to ensure that no two trains were in the „single line‟ section together. However as the MSTS signalling system cannot simulate this, take care not to allow two trains to work over this section simultaneously. The other main problem was the single line section, through the Coal Cliff Tunnel, from just south of Coal Cliff station to just north of Scarborough station. In this route, the MSTS signalling is setup to work correctly over the single line section. However, for realistic working, the following should be carried out. All trains, both Up and Down, were required to either slow to 15 mph in daylight (10mph at night), or stop opposite Scarborough and Coal Cliff signal boxes to allow the exchange of the single line section Staff.
