It Has Been In The Bible All Along! NOW, IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO KNOW IT!!! In one of the oldest books in The Bible, we find the Prophet and King named Job. In Part One of our Bible Study, we Learned from both Scripture and Ancient History, Job’s other names; and that he was in fact, The King who built The Great Pyramid in Egypt!!! Job had it all: A large family, wealth, and blessings of every kind imaginable. Scripture Tells us Job had seven sons and three daughters, and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants. He was the greatest man among all the people of the East in ancient times! Some Forgotten History and Bible Truths which have been HIDDEN from YOU - On Purpose!!! www.onug.us Last Sabbath, if you followed our Bible Study - you Learned - FROM SCRIPTURE ALONE, that Job was a younger relative of the Vice Pharaoh, Joseph. After Joseph saved the land during the seven years of famine; Joseph moved his father, Jacob, and his younger nephew Job, into some of the choicest land, in all of Egypt! It was here, in Goshen, Egypt; where Job would grow to become a very Powerful and very Wealthy King - who would build The Great White Pyramid, to celebrate, and Memorialize, what The “One True God” (Called “On” or “AMEN” in Ancient Egypt!!), did TO SAVE HIS PEOPLE, through His Faithful Servant, Joseph!!! WOW! History (His Story - God’s Story) is AMAZING, when God Gives us eyes that can REALLY SEE Biblical TRUTHS (Matthew 13:11-17)!!! www.onug.us 2 God bragged to Satan about Job, “There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil”!!! Then Satan replied, “Have you not put a hedge around him, and his household, and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land!!! But now, stretch out Your Hand, and strike everything he has; and he will surely curse You, to Your Face!!!” (Job 1:1-11). Last Sabbath, we went in History and into Scripture to show you who the man Job really was! We showed you that Job was also known as “Cheops” (the “Ch” being pronounced as an “h” sound in English and in Ancient Greek; and the “p” was pronounced as our modern day “b”. So “Cheops” would be pronounced as “Heob” or “Hob”)! The modern day, English letter “J” and sound, as we would use in the boy’s name “Jay”, did not evolve in the English language until sometime in the early 1600’s A.D. It was Sometime afterwards, that the letter “J’s” arrived in words like “Iesvs” (the WORD “Jesus” in the 1560 Geneva Bible) became “JESVS”, or “JESUS”; and the name of “Cheops” or “Cheop”, simply became “Hoebs” or “Hoeb” – and with the arrival of the letter “J” – “Hoeb” or “Hob” became “Job”!!! www.onug.us Remember, Isaiah 28:9-10! Concept or Precept, and Scripture or Line, are MORE IMPORTANT to God than “Pronunciation!” Revelation 7:1-17 Speaks of Saints that GOT THE CONCEPTS and DID THEM; they are NOT People who could move tongue and lip to make certain sounds!!! 5 Last week, we learned also, that Job lived in Joseph's time – coming to Egypt with Jacob, Joseph’s father – after the great famine! Job lived in the generation after Esau, for one of his friends was Eliphaz the Temanite (Job 2:11). Eliphaz was the father of the Temanites (Genesis 36:11) and the son of Esau, Jacob's brother (Genesis 36:10). Eliphaz and Joseph were first cousins!!! Job lived before the Mosaic law, which permitted only Levites to sacrifice. Notice that Job sacrificed to God, for his family; as was customarily done in patriarchal times (Job 1:5; 42:8). None of the conversation in the book of Job refers to the Exodus under Moses – which would happen some 400+ years later. But The Great, Worldwide Flood of Noah, was still VERY MUCH, Uppermost in the minds of all the people (Job 22:11-18)!!! www.onug.us Cheops or Job came to the throne in 1726 B.C. That date is proved in World and Biblical History. Surprisingly that is the year 6 in which Jacob entered Egypt with his family. A coincidence? Consider this! Coming into Egypt with Jacob in 1726 B.C. was a grandson, named Job! "And these are the names of the children of Israel who came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons ... And the sons of Issachar: Tola, and Phuvah and JOB, and Shimron" (Genesis 46:8-13)!!! He is an example of faithfulness as he loses everything important to him yet remains faithful to God. Its purpose is to illustrate God’s sovereignty and faithfulness during a time of great suffering. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Let’s Take A Quick Review Of The Book of Job: www.onug.us • In chapters 1-3, God tests Job’s faithfulness through allowing Satan to attack him. God told Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power, only do not put forth your hand on him” (1:12). Through Job’s trials, all is lost including his health, his wife even tells him to curse God and commit suicide, but he remains strong and faithful, “Through all this Job did not sin nor did he blame God.” (1:22).

    Creation Evidence Museum Lacks Evidence! Careful examination of the main articles they claim show a young earth reveal that they are deceptions, and in many cases, not even clever ones. The rebuttals for this museum are a compilation of articles from various websites. It is important to note that Carl Baugh, the person behind the museum, is at odds with other creation scientists. CEM claims that this hammer could not be millions of years old (dated to the same age as the limestone) so the hammer/rock must be only thousands of years old. Glen Kuban, who has studied the claims of young earth artifacts from Texas for the last fifteen years, provides the real story behind this hammer (http://paleo.cc/paluxy/hammer.htm ). The Burdick Print This footprint from what they claim is Cretaceous limestone, is said to show that man and dinosaurs walked together only a few thousand years ago. He shows the track contains anatomic errors, and demonstrates that abruptly truncated subsurface algal structures indicate this print was carved into the rock.

My mother and father attended the Free Will Baptist Bible College in Nashville, Tennessee, and my father was an ordained minister in the Free Will Baptist denomination. If you think Southern Baptists are conservative, Free Will Baptists make them look like a bunch of tree-huggin,' hybrid drivin,' whole-foods eatin,' tie-dye wearin' liberals. Needless to say, I was raised in a very, very conservative biblical tradition. My father was a young-earth creationist and I held that position for almost 35 years. When I first became interested in Christian apologetics I read a couple of my father's books by Henry Morris, considered by many to be the father of the modern day young­ earth creationist movement. Initially, I read and studied Christian apologetics because I wanted to affirm my position. I favored books and articles that gave evidence in support of my beliefs and my point of view, and that refuted opposing worldviews. I really wasn't too interested in reading books or articles espousing differing positions. They were wrong and I knew they were wrong so I didn't feel the need to waste my time reading their liberal, ill-informed points of view. Then I was sucker punched. I was preparing a Christian apologetics presentation for Sunday school and was advised that Dr. Hugh Ross, of the Christian apologetics ministry Reasons To Believe, was going to be speaking at the University of Texas.

Somewhat paradoxically, this new biblical literalism has been accompanied by an increased emphasis on scientific legitimacy among creationists. The most recent tool in young-Earth creationists’ quest for scientific legitimacy is the “creation museum.” This thesis analyzes and compares the purposes and methods of four creation museums; discusses their repercussions for science as a discipline; and explains their significance for the larger creationist movement. Crossing it, from the bottom to the top of the picture, is the famous Taylor trail, named after Stanley Taylor who, in the 1970s, promoted this "human track- way" through his film, Footprints in Stone. For years, the Taylor trail stood as the most concrete and persuasive evidence creationists had to of- fer in support of their claim that human and dinosaur tracks appeared together along the Paluxy River in Texas. But now the picture has changed. After being encouraged by critics to take a closer look at important features of the individual tracks in the Taylor trail, many creationists have changed their minds.

Everywhere in Glen Rose TX there are dinosaurs (grocery store, park benches, hotel signs). These dinosaurs are in front of the visitors center in Glen Rose Let’s go over the history from the Bible and the from the area of Glen Rose 3 The views are very different. The plain, straightforward teaching of the Bible is that the history of the earth spans some 6 thousand years or so. The major events in the biblical view of history include: •The creation by God over six 24-hour days God made man in his own image (earth is perfect) Dinos and man created on day six of creation •The fall of Adam and Eve (this is what brought death and struggle into the world) •The global flood of Noah’s time (judgment based on man’s sin) •The dispersion of people groups at the Tower of Babel (explains the races) •The life of Jesus on the earth and His death and resurrection •The end times as described in the book of Revelation These events represent the unfolding of God’s plan and purposes for humankind.

    The state of Intelligent Design – by John Blanton With apologies to Dick Butkus, creationism in America is a lot like football. Imagine you had a high school football team, and they never won any games. So they decided they had enough of that, and they went to college. And they now have a college football team. And they are still not winning any games. In the past we had creationists like Don Patton, Carl Baugh, Ken Ham, Kent Hovind, and a few others. They may have tacked letters after their names, but they only had high school diplomas. And they never won any games. Obviously, something was missing. Obviously it was not a problem of football skills. It was a matter of degree. They needed college degrees. So the creationists shucked off the (metaphorical) overalls, and they put on business suits. And they went to college. But they are still not winning any football games. All of this is not to be taken literally. The high school creationists did not end up going to college. What happened is that creationists realized that creationism without benefit of real academic credentials was not selling well. Also, the lack of any real science, but that is another matter. So, Intelligent Design was born. Intelligent Design was hatched by college-educated creationists with real degrees in science and other disciplines. Early on they seem to have been sitting back and giving only lip service, if even that, to the high school team. Apparently the college crowd jumped into the game when they noticed the home team was losing.
