She defends lawyers and law firms in pending or threatened legal malpractice and related claims, including aiding and abetting claims, claims from non-clients, and claims brought by receivers, and she defends other types of professionals targeted for alleged errors or defects in the services they provide. Ms. Otterberg has substantial experience investigating professional liability claims and developing and mounting effective and practical defense strategies, whether pre-complaint or through the litigation process.
