Justine Bannister JUST B (FR) Justine is a trilingual children’s media consultant with 25 years’ experience accrued most notably at Fox, Disney Channels France and Lagardère France. Her skillset spans animation production, development, post- production, distribution, acquisitions, co-productions, marketing, brand and community management and project evaluation. Justine set up JUST B to provide producers, creatives, distributors, festivals and media conglomerates with bespoke services whereby each project is nurtured from inception through development, production, delivery, commercialization and building the brand. Currently in charge of implementing the Creative Europe Guarantee Facility in Spain, financial instrument for facilitating access to finance SMEs within cultural and creative industries.

Ivan Colecchia KIDZ GLOBAL (IT) Ivan Colecchia is SVP Business Development of Kidz Global. A quantitative market research and consulting services specializing in children, teens and families oriented consumer markets, covering 42 countries in all continents. These researches are applied across an array of industry segments dealing with children oriented consumer markets including but not limited to licensing, toys & games, video games, entertainment, and education. Prior to joining Kidz Global in 2011, Ivan has had over 25 years’ experience in market research, covering many areas from kids to FMGC, sports, beauty & restaurants. He is an appreciated expert in licensing and kids business worldwide, and is frequently asked to speak at licensing and kids conferences.

Nick Dorra HARUWORKS (FI) Nick is a seasoned animation and digital content executive with 20 years of experience in animation, interactive storytelling and related fields. Previously at Rovio, he was tasked with integrating and growing the newly acquired animation team from ten to 100+ artists, overseeing all aspects of production and taking a seat in Rovio’s operation management team. Later he headed content strategy for the company’s ToonsTV AVOD service, sourcing content and handling acquisitions and roll-out strategy. After a stint at the New York-based video start-up incubator Thirty Labs (created by digital media visionary Fred Seibert), Nick turned his attention back to animation production and started the Haruworks studio in 2018.

Jackie Edwards BBC CHILDREN’S (UK) Jackie is Head of BBC Children’s Acquisitions and independent Animation working across both CBeebies and CBBC, the UK’s two foremost Children’s television channels. Jackie started her working life as a scientist, but thought better of it and made the natural career progression to animation in 1995 when she joined Hibbert Ralph Entertainment as a production assistant. She went on to produce many prestigious and award winning specials and series in the independent sector before joining the BBC as Content Manager, then Executive Producer, for CBeebies, working on series such as as “Tree Fu Tom”, “Octonauts”, “Bing”, “Rastamouse” and “Clangers” before becoming Head of Acquisitions and Independent Animation in 2015.

Yago Fandiño Lousa RADIO TELEVISIÓN ESPAÑOLA (RTVE) (ES) With over 15 years’ experience in integrated interactive/TV projects, Yago Fandiño has linked his life and career to new communication technologies, and more specifically, to communication and children’s entertainment. Trained in journalism, he has been Deputy Director of Children’s Interactive Content at RTVE, and Online Editor for the and Jetix websites in Spain. He is currently the Head of Children Content at TVE, responsible for the production of children’s TV programmes and interactive development.

Emilie Frelon KOALA MEDIA CONSULTING (UK) Following a career in Mergers and Acquisitions for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Emilie spearheaded the finance department of , a world leading kids and family entertainment company since 2010. During her tenure, Emilie supervised the company’s rapid global expansion and structured the financing of their international TV co-productions. Emilie founded Koala Media Consulting to offer ad hoc production financing services to content producers. Emilie holds a master degree in Finance. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

20 Nuria Guinnot GRAN CANARIA FILM COMMISSION (ES) Nuria Guinnot has a degree in political science, applied cultural studies and sociology from the University of Münster, Germany. Since 2001 she has been working in production on different audiovisual projects such as documentaries, animation and video art, in Germany, Spain, Mexico and . In 2013 she worked as a consultant in the audiovisual sector in Gran Canaria, offering her services to both the public administration and local private companies for their internationalization. In 2015 she began working in the Canary Islands Audiovisual cluster, as their coordinator in Gran Canaria, and since 2016 she has been in charge of the Gran Canaria Film Commission.

Anttu Harlin GIGGLEBUG ENTERTAINMENT (FI) Anttu Harlin is a co-founder and CEO of Gigglebug Entertainment – an animation IP studio focused on positive children’s content for the global market. The Helsinki-based company creates, develops and produces fun shows with a purpose! Anttu is also the co-creator and writer of the Nordic indie hit “Gigglebug” first launched as an app in 2013, with over 1 million downloads and #1 chart positions in 64 countries. “Gigglebug” has grown into a 360-brand, now available as apps, books, music, live shows, and a 52x5’ TV series. In June 2017, Disney Channels EMEA announced a new commission for an original called “101 Dalmatian Street”, based on a pitch by Anttu Harlin and Joonas Utti from Gigglebug Entertainment. Anttu Harlin is the ambassador of Finland in the European Emile Animation Awards. “I see myself as an entrepreneur who’s passionate about storytelling and high-quality kids content. Multi-platform is a given. My goal is to create meaningful and long-lasting connections between audience and content, regardless of the platform.”

Telidja Klaï KETNET / VRT (BE) Telidja Klaï studied Clinical Psychology at the Free University of Brussels. She specialized in Developmental Psychology and obtained a PhD of Clinical and Developmental Psychology. Telidja is responsible for the programme acquisitions and co-productions of animation for Ketnet. She is in charge of the selection, sales, adaptation and programming of international children’s programmes and she follows up on animation co-productions with Flemish animation studios and producers. The main thrust of her activities is the development of children and Ketnet’s vision and values.

Aksel Køie STEP IN BOOKS (DK) Founder of Step In Books based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Producer and designer of “Wuwu & Co.” – “A magical picture book, Mur” – a step in book, which have both been critically acclaimed and won several awards, among these Best Nordic Children’s Game (“Wuwu & Co.”) at Nordic Game Awards, the Ehon Digital Award (Japan) as well as the Bologna Ragazzi Digital Award the last two years (“Wuwu & Co.” in 2016 and “Mur” in 2017). In Step In Books Aksel is working towards creating high quality storytelling, bringing in artists from outside the digital arena while using smart devices to their limits. Step In Books is a company dedicated to expanding our ideas of visual storytelling while creating children friendly and well-crafted content.

Brenda Maffuchi DE AGOSTINI EDITORE (IT) Brenda Maffuchi joined De Agostini Editore in December 2012 as Head of Acquisitions & Property Development. She is responsible for analyzing, negotiating and managing content acquisition for De Agostini’s channels in . At this role, she also supervises the development process for local and international co-productions. Prior to De Agostini Editore, Brenda worked at supervising and coordinating the content acquisitions for the Latam region. Later on, she was Responsible for the live action and multimedia content division at Spanish-based company Elastic Rights overseeing the distribution and Consumer Products Rights strategies for Southern Europe.

Isabel Mariscal SINGULAR LAW (ES) With more than 20 years of experience in the audiovisual sector, Isabel Mariscal has worked with the best directors, writers and national and international producers, having advised the production of more than 200 audiovisual projects (including feature films, documentaries and TV series) in her majority in co-production with those countries in which the audiovisual sector is developed. 22 Nicolás Matji LIGHTBOX ANIMATION STUDIOS (ES) Nicolás Matji comes from a family of filmmakers and he always wanted to be a film producer. From very early on, he developed a strong passion for animation projects, which he was able to produce through his companies: Lightbox Animation Studios & La Fiesta PC. Lightbox Animation Studios produces animation feature films, while La Fiesta PC is the breeding ground of new talent through the production of short films. Last August 2017, Lightbox released “Tad, the Lost Explorer and the Secret of King Midas”, the second installment of the “Tad, the Lost Explorer” saga. This movie achieved more than 8.2 million moviegoers in Spain and it was released worldwide through Paramount Pictures. In 2015 Lightbox released “Capture the Flag”, directed by Enrique Gato. It became a great success in the history of Spanish animation, achieving more than 2.7 million moviegoers in Spain, becoming the second most watched film in Spain in 2012. It was distributed in more than 54 countries, achieving a box office of an estimated 60 million USD and became the first Spanish movie ever to have a wide release in China. La Fiesta PC is the breeding ground of new talent through the production of short films. Their short films have been nominated 7 times to the GOYA Awards and have garnered 5 prizes: “Alike”, “Cuerdas” (“Strings”), “La bruxa” (“The witch” – short), “Tadeo Jones y el sótano Maldito” (“Tadeo Jones and the Basement of Doom” – short), “Tadeo Jones”. Nicolás has also produced the animation TV series “Descubre Con Tadeo” (“Discover with Tad”) for MEDIASET Spain. An Educational TV content about Spanish Research and Development in a 26x2 format.

Paul Robinson IMIRA ENTERTAINMENT (ES) Paul Robinson is an international media Exec with vast kids and family media experience and many years of strategic and operational expertise. Paul heads Imira Entertainment since January 2018 with an important focus on expanding Imira’s growing global distribution business and creating more co-pro opportunities. Paul founded KidsCo in 2005 as a joint venture with NBCUniversal and built it into a global children’s linear and VOD network. Prior to KidsCo, Paul was Managing Director/Senior Vice President of International and and was responsible for global Disney kids’ strategy for TV content production and broadcast. Paul has been Managing Editor of BBC Radio 1 responsible for all programming and music and Head of Strategy for Radios 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5Live. He is Director of Consultancy Services at Creative Media Partners, a full-service agency advising on technology, distribution, content aggregation, channels and digital services and marketing and branding. He has a BSc Hons and MBA from Cambridge, Manchester and Bradford Universities and has won numerous awards including Baftas and Sonys and is a regular contributor to conferences, podcasts and TV and radio.

Maca Rotter LA PANADERÍA LICENSING & MARKETING (MX) Maca Rotter founded the business in Mexico for Televisa Consumer Products. Following 16 successful years, she then founded La Panadería Licensing & Marketing. She kept the leadership and also transitioned all representations to her new Company. She manages the Kids strategy of Televisa, productions and co-productions as well as programming for the main slot for Preschool in the country. She was 7 times awarded in the Top 100 Mexican women in business by Expansion. In 2015 she was awarded among 14 executives in the first edition of ‘Women to Watch Mexico’ from Ad Age. Maca is the author of the first book ever published in Spanish about Licensing and Merchandising (2014). Second edition was published in 2017. She was awarded as one of the Top Global “Influentials” 2017 by License Magazine. After many years she created the first diploma for Licensing along Universidad Panamericana and LIMA in 2017-2018.

Erick Rouillé FUTURIKON (FR) Erick Rouillé brings over 20 years experience in both kids television business and consumer products. He is a Senior Executive in international TV sales, consumer products, home video and brand management, having a wide ranging experience in global exploitation of IP’s. Amongst other jobs in the kids business, he served as Retail Marketing Director for The Walt Disney Company before joining Saban Consumer Products France as Managing Director. After that he was hired to create the Planeta Junior France, French office where he particularly developed the CP business for “Maya The Bee” and the collaboration with French animation production companies. From 2011 to 2016 he served as EVP sales for Animation, in charge of worldwide TV sales & CP business for “Oggy & The Cockroaches”. Working at present for Futurikon, an historical French animation production company, he is Senior VP sales, TV and CP for “Minuscule”.

24 Jaime Sanz (ES) PhD graduated from the European University in Madrid, Jaime Sanz is specialized in managing the tax incentives in Spain for the audiovisual sector and particularly in rebates, tax credits and file rulings before tax Admin. He is also responsible for preparing contracts according to the Spanish law (chain of title, PSA), the cash flow of tax credits by national and international banks and completion Bond relationship. He worked as Tax Senior at Ernst & Young, PwC and J&A Garrigues.

Gerry Shirren CARTOON SALOON (IE) Gerry has been working in the animation industry for over 25 years and is Managing Director at Cartoon Saloon, the three time Oscar® nominated studio of the highly acclaimed “The Secret of Kells”, “Song of the Sea”, and most recently “The Breadwinner”. Gerry is the Executive Producer of the studios projects including “The Breadwinner” and the two seasons of the award winning and Emmy nominated “Puffin Rock” narrated by Chris O’Dowd and which has been dubbed into more than 25 languages. Over the last few years, Cartoon Saloon has grown to be a studio of over 100 artists and technicians and in 2017, the studio also opened Lighthouse Studios in Kilkenny as a joint venture with Mercury Filmworks from Canada and focusing on high quality animation services. Lighthouse is now in production on its first TV series with its own studio crew of over 50.

Damian Treece LIBERO LICENSING (UK) With a 10+ year career in licensing and brand management, Damian has worked across a portfolio of iconic sports, entertainment and character brands. Damian has driven European and global brand strategies for major brand owners, agencies and studios including clients such as Rebellion (“Roy of the Rovers”, “Judge Dredd”), Twentieth Century Fox (“”, “Ice Age”, “Family Guy” and “Rio franchises”) Activision (“Skylanders'European Launch” and “Call of Duty”), DreamWorks Animation, EA Sports, Major League Baseball, Italian National Football Team and at Penguin Random House properties such as “The Snowman” and “Vintage Ladybird”.

Alison Warner TECHNICOLOR (UK) Alison Warner is the Vice President of I.P. Sales, Acquisitions and Co-Productions for Technicolor Creative Development based out of London. Alison develops and implements funding and sales strategies for TCD’s in- house animated properties and also actively sources new properties to acquire or co-produce. In this role, she was instrumental in securing the rights to “The Deep” and is part of the team that helped put Technicolor’s animated shows “Atomic Puppet” and “The Deep” into production. Warner also helps manage the exploitation of all rights of “The Deep” worldwide. “The Deep” has become a global hit, topping the children’s TV charts in the UK and with toys and books launching autumn 2018. Warner also sourced new properties for the TCD slate, including “Chamelia”, “Bear”, “Bud & Boo” and “Mythfits” – all have been identified by Kidscreen magazine as “cool new shows” to watch.

Annalisa Woods INK GROUP (DK) With many years experience in branding and brand development, Annalisa is a dedicated and skilled brand extension professional; passionate about creating and implementing relevant category extension strategies to drive brand awareness, revenue, and further enrich the brand story. Nurturing her passion for superb children’s content, Annalisa began her career at HarperCollins Publishers as the Brand Executive responsible for the strategic development of C.S. Lewis’ “The Chronicles of Narnia” as these literary works were adapted for the big screen. Following this, Annalisa worked as Marketing Executive for branded and licensed Children’s books. Here she set about developing and executing marketing campaigns for the publishing programmes relating to some of the best- known children’s animation series and brands including “Roary the Racing Car”, “” and “Hello Kitty”. Now living and working in Copenhagen, Annalisa is the Senior Brand Manager at Ink Global.
