ISSN 2237-4183 Capa Sheila Lima de Souza Cunha Preparação Bianca Oliveira Coelho ISSN: 2237-4183 2016 V FÓRUM DE PESQUISA CENTRO DE COMUNICAÇÃO E LETRAS Prefácio O Centro de Comunicação e Letras, da Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, por mais um ano proporcionou aos seus aos alunos de Graduação, dos cursos de Letras, Jornalismo e Publicidade e Propaganda, e de Pós-graduação, Stricto Sensu em Letras, a oportunidade de participar do Fórum de Pesquisa CCL, uma iniciativa que já completa meia década e pretende estimular a produção e circulação do conhecimento. O V Fórum de Pesquisa CCL foi realizado nos dias 17 e 18 de setembro de 2015 e, nessa ocasião, os alunos puderam compartilhar o resultado de diferentes produções que transitam nas mais diferentes áreas do saber. O intercâmbio de pesquisa é significativo e relevante, uma vez que coaduna com alguns dos interesses da Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, dentre eles o estimulo ao Ensino, à Pesquisa e à Extensão. Em um clima de efervescência interdisciplinar, o V Fórum foi resultado do estímulo à produção do conhecimento que agora pode ser visualizado pela publicação que segue em forma de artigos, papers, ensaios, projetos experimentais, resenhas e vídeos etc. 3 A realização do V Fórum de de Pesquisa CCL contou com o apoio significativo do corpo docente do CCL e a publicação dos Anais manifestou a diversidade e originalidade dos temas que foram desenvolvidos em modelos acadêmicos que levaram a novas e significativas descobertas. Em 2015 foram apresentados 66 trabalhos, que marcam a convergência dos mais variados tipos de conhecimento que se mesclam, fundem-se e resultam em um modus operandi do trabalho intelectual do CCL. Ao analisarmos a interferência global em jovens nascidos depois da 1980, é possível enxergar que estes são extremamente conectados e informados – e constantemente em busca de um ideal de vida inatingível, o que os impulsiona a fazer uma mudança, quer seja de espaço ou de ideias como um nômade. O objetivo deste artigo é trazer uma convergência entre esse comportamento com a consequência de um mundo pós-moderno. Este trabalho se utilizou de pesquisas bibliográficas e tende a apontar que o sujeito da geração Y é consequência de um mundo pós-moderno, onde por conta dessa fragmentação da sociedade trouxe essa instabilidade comportamental, que denominamos de nomadismo simbólico. INTRODUÇÃO Zygmunt Bauman, sociólogo polonês, discorre sobre o comportamento humano usando um termo peculiar: Liquidez (2001), o que nos traz o conceito de modernidade líquida ou “fluida”, para explicar as transformações ocorridas na sociedade contemporânea. O autor diz que vivemos em uma era onde há “um mundo repleto de sinais confusos, propenso a mudar com rapidez e de forma imprevisível” (BAUMAN, 2004, p. 6). Ele diz que os líquidos, diferentemente dos sólidos, não mantêm sua forma com facilidade. Não se fixam 9 ao espaço e nem prendem o tempo, e estão constantemente prontos e mutáveis em sua forma de pensar e agir – dependendo apenas do estado de ambiente de onde estiver esse fluido, enquanto os sólidos têm dimensões espaciais claras e neutralizam o impacto. Sobre modernidade líquida, Baumam (2006, p. 6) diz que: “ela começa quando espaço e tempo são separados da prática da vida e entre si, e assim podem ser teorizados como categorias distintas e mutuamente independentes da estratégia e da ação”. A velocidade produzida e compreendida nesse sentido é algo que transcende o espaço e tempo, onde agora o céu é o limite para as açoes humanas. Essa velocidade de acontecimentos, mudanças de identidade, cidades, empresas, etc, gera essa inconsistência na matéria presente, sensações e sentimentos se tornam líquidos, tais como: medo, amor e desejo. Essa inconstância é uma característica muito presente na geração Y, que segundo Jim Matewmann (2012, pág.38), é a nomenclatura dada aos que nasceram no início da década de 1980 e é composta por jovens que são extremamente confiantes, criativos e com visão global. São pessoas que mostram características fortes individualistas, porém, mostram-se preocupados com o meio-ambiente e as futuras gerações. Neles, é percebida a valorização exacerbada do eu e seu ponto forte é a informação que adquirem com experiências, através do uso da tecnologia. Dessa volatilidade de emoções e desejos, que por conta dessa liquidez, provoca desprendimento, temos então um indivíduo que se “trai” constantemente por se contradizer inúmeras vezes (talvez por não ter um ideal “sólido”). Essa inconstância em seu pensar, leva a uma inconstância em seu comportamento, sentimentos, e até mesmo nas relações humanas, criando uma sensação de nomadismo simbólico – que seria essa vida nômade não apenas no campo físico mas no campo das ideias, onde Liberato (2002) cita Maffesoli (2001) ao afirmar que vivemos numa época de um “enraizamento dinâmico” (2002, p.

Perry Local Educators’ Association,2 among other refinements of its Speech Clause jurisprudence,3 much free speech jurisprudence has taken on a common law caste, one analogy after another. Prior to the discovery of street painting I enjoyed a career in mural painting, creating original works in a variety of painting traditions for large hospitality and commercial properties. My husband Sayak Mitra is an art practitioner from Kolkata, India, who has relocated to Ventura, in hopes of expanding his art career while making a new life here in the US. Social media has allowed art movements to develop and increase public awareness, access, and participation with the arts. This paper summarizes three art movements and five arts programs and their presence in the southeastern United States. He is an artist that creates street artwork, chalk artwork, murals, fine art, children’s book illustrations and commercial installations. He truly does it all. I think you even have on your website, I saw, you teach art, is that correct? Shawn: Yeah. I do some workshops with students. Actually, at the beginning of this week I was doing some chalk workshops with some students in North Dakota, but unfortunately, we got rained out yesterday, so. I try and visit the schools as much as I can and get the next generation of artists excited about creating some work. E: Awesome. So, you do do it all. Shawn also travels around the US and internationally to participate in festivals and create art. I was specifically interested in having him on the podcast to talk about the way companies are using local artists to brand and market themselves and the rising value of handmade work. When we met last year I was surprised, you know that was the first time I attended a chalk festival, and I was so surprised that there was a whole group of artists that do that for a living. You just travel around to different places and make art. So, I want to start by asking how does one go about becoming a travelling chalk artist?     Pavement Art and its Raison d’Etre in Contemporary Fine Art By Lori Escalera, BA, Art1 – abridged version 7.17.18 Historical events and current phenomena are the Raison d’Etre for Pavement Arts. Artists find supreme Artistic expression creating tremendous visual works of beauty, message, and skill uniquely on the pavement (fig 1). In asking the questions: Why does Pavement Art exist? Is Pavement Art relevant to serious Artmaking? Is Pavement Art validated by a shift towards ephemerality in Art? We find the answers looking at the emergent growth of Pavement Art; in understanding why Artists find pavement a sanctified place for creating Representational Figurative Art; and can then build a case for Pavement Art’s inclusion in Art History canon.
